What if the spontaneous breathing trial is more than 8 hours a day? And they’re getting really tired from it? Is there something I can ask the nurse without making it seem like I’m questioning if they know what they’re doing?
Thanks for these videos, very nice review. Doesn't apnea mode essentially function as would SIMV? In other words, the patient breathes spontaneously with pressure support, but there is a backup mandatory rate dialed into the ventilator?

what was pressure support of 28mmh20 mean ? is the patient ready to wean or does it takes lot more time? because of high pressure support
