    Hi Laura! It was nice seeing your vegetable garden. Also, it was nice learning what to look for when harvesting the onions and garlic and how you dry and prep them for storage. Do you plant garlic in the fall for next years harvest? Also, do you use the drip system in your vegetable garden, or soaker hoses? Just curious because they look like my soaker hoses. Thank you for sharing!

  • @32dras
    @32dras 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    We allways use first a big ones and smaller ones save for later because smaller ones can hold in storage for longer, acctualy uncured steams make them rot, big ones have thicker steams and they cure harder so they are more probably to rot then smaller ones.

    Wow, great crop of garlic and walla walla onions, my favorite. I love your videos on your garden, I didn't get a chance to get my garden planted this year, too many life changes going on, but it's goals for next year that I'm really looking forward to, there will be a lot of pots planted up with edibles next year, and hopefully two small raised beds. So good to see Cheddar, I was wondering how he was doing. Thank you Laura and Aaron everything is looking amazing. Have a great weekend see you soon.

    I have a question about the gravel you used to cover your pathways in your raised bed vegetable garden. Are you happy with this choice? What size gravel is it? How do you keep it clean from scattered soil or debris...a blower? Anything you would do differently? Thanks very much! Tracy from New York

    • @gardenanswer
      @gardenanswer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The gravel we used is just called 3/4 chip. I really love it. It makes everything look so tidy! We did put landscape fabric just under the walkway portion (not under the raised beds) to help with weeds, and I definitely recommend that in a situation like this to help with maintenance. I use a blower for any plant refuse that falls or small amounts of soil, the only time it’s been a little tricky was when a gopher made a huge mound right against the side of one of the raised beds and then it immediately rained which compacted this soil. I still haven’t worked on scraping that soil off the rocks. 😬
