    Wish you had reviewed their slim jeans. Since the skinny appeared “nice” guessing the slim would be a winner.
    Need gray jeans and MB are one of the few options out there for that.

    • @gentwithin
      @gentwithin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      the slim would be much too loose for me seeing as their skinnies fit more like slims. MB jeans are excellent for the price range

    Awesome , I like it how you can pair same Jean and shoes with different shirts. Can you do puffer vest and like jackets ( bomber ) also V- neck sweater !! ...

    • @gentwithin
      @gentwithin  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      absolutely. a bomber jacket would be right at home with these jeans and sneakers as would a light vest. I've done lookbooks on both of those pieces actually.

    Cool Try-On and Review! Music got a little loud at 6:26 for a bit. I've been looking at Mott & Bow for a while, but the smallest inseam being 30 in kind of keeps me away. Especially when places like Bonobos offer a 28 in inseam and I can make it work with out alterations. Are you planning on getting them hemmed up a few inches at the tailor or cropping them yourself?

    • @gentwithin
      @gentwithin  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      hey man, thanks for pointing that out! that portion of the audio ramp up was meant for a few seconds later when i stopped talking! I missed it in post production.
      Yeah, the inseam is always an issue for shorter guys and taller guys, but I hear they're working on adding more in the future. I'll most likely be cropping them myself! Thanks again for watching and dropping a comment. 🙏

    How is the waist sizing for the jeans compared to other brands? I am usually a 32 waist in most other brands but I am unsure whether I should get a 31 or 33 for my other try on size.

    • @gentwithin
      @gentwithin  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's a tiny bit looser than normal, but not by much. I'd size down one.

    Do these actually keep their shape? I noticed you pulling up the waist after your did a squat. I find these stretchy pants just start feeling loose after a few wears.

    • @gentwithin
      @gentwithin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes..they're loose because the waist is a 30 and i'm a 28. they don't offer 28 yet

    Instead of shrinking the sweater you should alter it. I would even go further to suggest that you should invest in a sewing machine. It's life changing

    If the skinnies are too tight then a slightly-bigger-than-average straight fit should be a-OK for me.

    • @gentwithin
      @gentwithin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      what's your dimensions? their skinnies run pretty loose on me.

    • @Mister_Phafanapolis
      @Mister_Phafanapolis 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gentwithin I have 17” calves. Most straight fit are still snug on me so I’ve been sizing up and then getting them tailored but that’s a hassle and additional effort/cost. These might be a solution. If they were button fly they’d be about perfect.
      They talk about “Stretch Factor” on their website. Did you find these to be particularly flexible?

    • @gentwithin
      @gentwithin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Mister_Phafanapolis they do have a good amount of stretch to them. in terms of quality, their jeans are v high. but yeah, no button flys

      Gentleman Within - Yes, I agree. So can you elaborate on the quality of the brand? Not to put you on the spot, but I see where Andrew Stopa is coming from. The jeans have plenty of good reviews. I really like the look of the buttoned down and spread shirts, (especially the denim looking shirts). On the web site, other than the Italian cotton, there is no mention of any hallmarks of quality in the construction ( MOP/horn buttons, stitch per inch, collar construction). They just seem like decent $50-60 shirts. For a DTC brand I think the jeans and cashmere is similarly priced as other DTC brands but the tops (although nice looking), are a priced at entry MTM with standard features. I'm not trying to steer my attempt at making a point into a MTM vs OTR. But let's say you are comparing the quality and not the value of a brands standard shirt $50-$60 Box store shirt from Nordstrom's Men's shop, BR, JC, BB are all pretty much equal. Then you have Bonobos (another 📦 store), w/ standard shits at $80-100. Then Mot&Bow DTC coming in at $70. Is there really any major quality differences in these? I dunno. Just food for thought. Still love your content!

      Depends on your build, the brand cut and how you like it to fit and look. I'm 5'5" and if I didn't know better I would say the same thing as you! But to you. In most brands such as lucky brand I wear a large. However I recently tried jack Archer pants(I really like) and a plain L shirt and it draped! The medium did fit near perfect but a bit too tight in the chest and goes into the pits. It has stretch so its still comfortable and looks good. I'm just concerned about sweat in the summer. I also have a 39" chest from working out and am 160#. Naturally slim build without muscle. My chest is a bit big for the rest of me. It just grows. I think he mentioned in another vid that he's 140#? I can definitely see a xs. Which I doubt he has any reason to lie.

      Oh also I buy cheap undershirts at Walmart for work. I've bought both Hanes and George. The George L fit ok but are like big and tall shirts long on me and loose. Covers most my butt. The Hanes length goes right to my belt and def more form fitting. Check them out to see the difference the same size but different brands can have.
