  • The Figure Four is a vital lock found in Hapkido, Kali and other arts. It's easy to secure, very powerful, and can be used to unbalance the opponent and set him up for strikes, or to throw him. It's an easy transition when you're trying to set up an arm bar and the guy resists; and it's also very handy in empty hand versus knife defense.

Sabeel Combatives combines the highly effective entries of Silat and Kali with the devastating throws and joint locks of Hapkido. There are also influences of Japanese Jujitsu and Karate. In Sabeel we keep only what works and discard the rest. In particular, we are very good at flowing from strikes to joint locks or throws, or from joint locks to strikes, in a seamless and effective way.
On this channel we showcase a wide variety of striking, throwing and locking techniques. Please subscribe and like.
Classes are held in Fresno, California, USA.

This is the exactly same Technique like the Trainer at my work showed us. especially the thing, that you start with armbar so he the suspect try to flex the arm and that helps you to go in the figure 4. This is a very usefull technique! I have tried it already and it worked great

This is a different Figure four than we have been taught so far in Hapkido. I like this one, but I haven't been able to effectively do it yet. I especially like the looks of it for knife defense because it points the blade back at the attacker IF done correctly.
