That horrible period is a few chapters of my life and it is his as well!!! I LOVE seeing people get well and healthy-learning to live in recovery with ALL diseases and illnesses especially those of the BRAIN which we are least likely to get yet. Our brains are so complex and trust me when I say that our brains DO NOT FORGET behaviors and the chemicals are never the same when they change and until more people realize addiction is a physiological disease than we will never make progress. I am hopeful as I see LESS ANONYMITY being needed and desired by people and MORE OPEN DISCUSSION and acceptance as anything secret and taboo is creepy and scary to many! It was for me and that is why I struggled.
