    ***ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
I chose the Stihl MS 271 Farm Boss chainsaw because I needed a chainsaw that could handle lots of work and also Stihl outdoor power tools are simply reliable.
I have two Stihl chainsaws now. I also have the Stihl MS 180C which has never failed me, and I've put it through the tests. Also have a Stihl pole saw and a Stihl lawn trimmer. All run flawlessly day after day.
The Stihl MS 271 is the right type of saw I need. I cut alot of logs and trees for firewood and I needed a chainsaw that could handle the load and get the job done quicker than my MS 180C.
I've only used the Stihl farm boss MS 271 for an hour so far and the combination of the 50cc power engine and the aggressive cutting chain has made my job easier and quicker!

I have the Echo CS-4910 and it's practically the same saw with mods. I love the 50cc saws! They're not too big and not too small. Practically the best "in between" or "middle" class!

My grandma surprised me yesterday with this saw..she knew I was looking for a decent saw..I was genuinely shocked which this one..I didn’t know anything about it, but I’ve used it several times now and it’s amazing.

    Stihl MS 261 C-M here.
Can't go wrong with the professional grade quality.
I ran that thing all day, no issues no flak.
    Gotta love a quality Stihl.

I'm a Husqvarna man myself, but boy you can tell that 271 is gonna rip like nothing else once it's worn in some. Great buy and enjoy your new toy!

I'm happy with mine. I have a 20 inch bar on it. I use the Stihl 2 in one sharpener, the chain cuts a little more agressive than a new chain.

Watch out for those aggressive cuts, your trees might start running away from you!

    Nice saw
I still run an smaller stihl chainsaw but my workhorse has been a big echo
I’m used to old chainsaws that don’t Rev to cut they just use the torque to chew through the tree

I just purchased an MS271 yesterday. Reason being is that my 029 I purchased back in 1998 couldn't safely handle an 18" / 20" bar changeover for the giant Cherry tree that fell a few months back due to Carpenter Ant ravages. The ONLY part on it aside from a new chain or two that has needed replacement was a cracked fuel line.

Looking into these their cost is less than $400 from research I found these are made in China while the over $600 like the model 660 and up are made in Germany, or US made. Not sure if that makes a difference, but depending on how they are made lot of Chinese sourced parts find same as in a cheap homelite. I'm not saying that's the case with these just wondering.

What is the difference between a regular Stihl and a Stihl farm boss?

    • @lovestihlquality1369
      @lovestihlquality1369 2 ปีที่แล้ว

"Farm Boss" is a marketing name. Husqvarna has 'Rancher' . Stihl Farm Boss name has been used for different cc over the years. For recent many years Farm Boss has been an MS 290. Stihl FB has been the MS 270 for 8 ish years.
      Sooo, there is nothing different.
Stihl Homeowner and Farm/Ranch lines are plastic case 'clamshell' design. The Pro line has metal cases and other advantages. Essentially choose the saw for the job. ALWAYS keep saw clean maintained sharp chain good fresh gas and oil preferably ethanol free or use Motomix canned fuel. Don't let fuel in for long, gums up carbs.
