US Election: Donald Trump Historic Win, Becomes President Again | ISH News

People all over the world are watching the US election closely. The vote counting is still going on, and at first, the race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump looked very close. But as more votes were counted, Donald Trump appeared a clear winner and is now set to becoming the 47th President of the United States, defeating Kamala Harris.
One of the main reasons behind Trump’s strong position is his good performance in “swing states.” Swing states are special because they don’t always support the same party. They don’t have a fixed choice between the “blue” Democrats and the “red” Republicans, and because of this, they are known as “purple” states. These states are very important in deciding who becomes the next US President.
Here are the seven main swing states:
Pennsylvania
Nevada
North Carolina
Georgia
Arizona
Michigan
Wisconsin
According to the latest results, Trump has won 277 electoral votes, just three short of the 270 needed to win the election. Kamala Harris has 224 votes so far.
Donald Trump has already given a “victory speech” in Palm Beach, Florida, thanking the American people and calling this a “magnificent victory for Americans.” He also spoke about an assassination attempt on him on July 13, saying, “God spared my life for a reason.”
In his speech, Trump thanked his wife, Melania, and praised Elon Musk, saying, “A star is born.” Elon Musk, one of the world’s richest and most famous people, has supported Trump throughout the election. As Trump got closer to winning, Musk congratulated him on X (formerly known as Twitter) with a message, “The future is gonna be fantastic.”
In an earlier interview, Musk also said that this might be the last election if Trump does not win, suggesting that it could mean the end of democracy in America.
As the counting continues, Trump is expected to officially take over as President on January 20, 2025, if he secures the victory.
