Rhythm Section International proudly presents it’s 8th offering from local boys Chaos in the CBD. Born in New Zealand, but based in Peckham for the last few years (literally just around the corner from Henry Wu and Bradley Zero), these brothers have made a real mark on the scene here in London town and with their latest set of productions are set to take this message further afield.
Having already released internationally on labels such as ClekClekBoom (Paris), Hot Haus (London) and Amadeus (Montreal), the duo’s approach to production has matured immeasurably in the last year, as is evident in the restrained potency and poetic subtlety on the 4 tracks across this accomplished EP, Midnight in Peckham.
Taking it’s title from the locale the boys have come to know as home, the record channels a delicate late night energy - equally indebted to the hypnotic incantations of Ron Trent as it is to the hazy suburban atmospheres of Burial. These 4 classic cuts pay homage to deep house in it’s truest sense - at once sublime, melancholy and meditative . Chaos in the CBD have clearly taken their cue from the mid-west masters of the genre but have not been afraid to let their own influences and environ creep in, and in doing so have created something that is unmistakablely London and infact, timeless. - เพลง

Biking around warsaw as a tourist at night time by myself with this tune on repeat in my earbuds. beautiful city. On my way to meet a local girl during one of those of nights. had beers and walked around town. Everything was uncertain and I was curious for everything the city has to offer. it felt poetic in such a short period of time, like a summerlove thing. Even saw her one more time after that when I flew back to stay with her a few days. Looking back on good memories

My name is Herman. I heard this track literally 3 years ago, but it still plays all the time. There was one time when I flew to Turkey. We were going down to Antalya Airport at night while I had this track playing in my headphones. We're at a high altitude, there are lights below, I can hear this saxophone... it's amazing. Lost on the Champ de Mars in Paris by night, the speaker in my hands. I am sitting in the grass with five of my friends laid down around me. Some nice weed and sweet mixtures in our bottles. We are watching the Eiffel Tower just above us, lit up from the inside. I remember when the bright white flickering started, as if the tower wanted to dance. I couldn't hear anything but the music around us. Slowly, we started to see new colors, shining dots moving up and down. We felt warm. It was like a little world. I could swear it felt like eternity.

I was in a really bad place today and genuinely considered doing horrible things to myself, things that had never crossed my mind before. I really felt like it may have been my last day on earth. I listened to this song and sat next to a small lake by my office. I have listened to Chaos many times before but it was my first time listening to this song.
As I watched the tranquillity of the lake and this song played I suddenly felt like everything was going to be ok. I'm not sure why, but this song just reminded me how precious and beautiful just simply being alive is. Thank you Louis and Ben from Chaos in The CBD as this song has really given me a new perspective.
