I played the VR mod. One of the first things I did was go to the quantum moon and hug Solanum. I think if we could, we all would have done it, especially after Solanum says she would like to think of us as a friend.
Not only did Solanum finally get the hug she deserves, but she gave the hug back, which I absolutely believe she would. And that scene of the artifact test failure was incredibly well done. The whole thing was great, to be honest.
This was so incredible!! It was honestly so so good. The shot of the sun station was amazing, I loved the quantum rock disappearing, the animation was just incredible, the shot of brittle hollow from space was beautiful, all the owlk stuff was just incredible, I loved every second and now I want more

It really captures the spirit of Outer wilds, the wonder of these locations-Ash and Ember, the seas of Giant's Deep, the vast desolation of the Stranger-and the horror. The Strangers themselves. The Dark Bramble. Trapped in the Sunless City. There's also a profound sense of dread and acceptance. Loneliness. Companionship. Togetherness. Thanks for this. It is a wonderful tribute to this incredible game.
For a while, I was working on making an outer wilds animation myself. I was gonna use stop motion, and had finished the puppets, but never got around to filming. When I would have been filming is around the time I fell out of animation. Seeing this though, I’ve been thinking about revisiting the project. It never will be as good as this, due to a bunch of reasons, but at some point, I will finish it

This is definitely not something I ever expected form you but it's great, I love it. Outer Wilds was my game of the year for that year and is still one of my favorite games of all time and this animation absolutely did it justice.

My word. Not sure how this slipped my radar until now but I can't overstate how impressed I am by this. The visuals are gorgeous, such a perfect translation and upgrade to the game's graphics. It's clear how few corners were cut to make this, each individual scene so different and well thought out. You did so well to not only depict scenes from the game, but nail how they felt to play through. You gave the setting such a cinematic quality that is usually only felt rather than seen. Completely outside of my attachment to Outer Wilds this is simply a superbly directed and shot short film.
I've been left speechless by many an Outer Wilds video, in fact I can say at least three in the last 24 hours. But none of them like this. This is genuinely astounding, and the fact that it's fanmade blows my mind. You should be proud of this, to your very core. Thank you for making it. I won't ever be able to forget it. I hope you won't mind if I think of you as a friend.

One of the best animations I've seen of the game. Loved the 3D models of everything (especially the Hearthians and the Sun Station). Absolutally amazing work. Gave me some ideas for a project of mine. The part where the Hatchling runs up to Solanum and hugs her is probably the same amount of sweetness (if not more sweet) than Solanum considering you a friend to her. It shouldn't be allowed in the video because it's too cute. 🥹 To everyone reading this: If you haven't already, you need to go play this game if you want to feel like a changed human being.
