  • Here are a few tips and ideas of how to host a summer camp in your area. I am currently not affiliated with any company or product mentioned in this video and have purchased and used them all as a personal consumer.

    -- Camp Binoculars Craft Kit: www.orientaltrading.com/camp-b...

    Peanut Butter Bars Recipe: (for 1 campers portion)
    4 TBS Butter
    ¼ + 1/8 cup Powder Sugar
    ½ cup Peanut Butter
    1 ½ cup rice cereal
    * Add to a large bowl and have kids mix it up with their {washed} hands until it becomes a sticky messy texture. Drop it into an 8X8 pan and squish it to fill just half of the pan. This way it will be a thick bar. Pour melted chocolate on top of bars and refrigerate for 30 minutes or until chocolate sets.

    I am a mother of two; just doing my best to raise Godly children and find joy doing it. I am a busy wife as I strive to make intentional parenting my goal while making my relationship with my husband my priority. My passion is teaching and I find myself hoarding most teaching/office supplies in my closets. I love to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, my kiddos, and History. All my other interests can fit nicely into one word: Pinterest. I love baking, decorating, dreaming, making, free fun printables, motivational quotes, tips, tricks, and ideas by the millions. Lastly, I have an unwavering testimony of Jesus Christ and base my entire life around His Gospel; The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This channel is dedicated first to my husband who is my better half and to my mother who inspired it all.

    • @FullPurposeAndHeart

      @@Zoe-dy4uk I didn't. I kept it more "private" rather than making it a public summer camp. The more public you go the more licensing and such you'll need. Having basic first aid training is helpful.

      @FullPurposeAndHeart  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How exciting. As far as water activities go, there are several options. I also did not have a pool. :).
      1. You could get a small baby pool and just let the littles splash around with buckets and such.
      2. Purchase a slip n' slide. The kids loved this the year I did
      3. Water Balloons - they go fast but they are wet and fun
      4. One year I rented a "wet n dry" bounce house that filled with water and became a water slide

      How fun! You'll just want to define your lines as to what will be planned and structured and what will be free play. Once you know those boundaries, you can iron out how your mornings will flow and what expectations you have for your parents and your preschoolers. :)

    I have a few questions for you pertaining to the summer camps, does it require for the host to have a license/ LLC?
    How would the host go about applying for a grants to help support the cost of the camp along with the supplies & the helpers for the kids or being based upon medical low income based kids in the community ?
    Does the camp helpers that i may personally know have to have a background check done before assisting and if so, how would i go about that process?

    • @FullPurposeAndHeart
      @FullPurposeAndHeart  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Good questions. I am not a legal professional nor pretend to understand requirements for all counties in the country. So, I’d say you’ll want to reach out to some community business leaders. My camp I ran was very private/close friends and family so the requirements were different.

    What type of permission forms did you have for transporting the kids?

    • @FullPurposeAndHeart
      @FullPurposeAndHeart  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My camps were very private and "among friends". My neighborhood was full of kids the right ages so I just had the parents all sign a form I had drafted up myself. If your camp is more public in nature, you'll want to check with the city requirements and forms for that.

    Do you need to have any kind of early childhood development education under your belt before hosting any kind of summer camp?

    • @FullPurposeAndHeart
      @FullPurposeAndHeart  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My first answer is absolutely not. That being said, if you make your summer camp large and more of a public entity then you'll need to look into the proper certification. My camps were very private (only neighborhood kids) and I knew all their parents. All you need is a do it attitude, a Pinterest account, and an energy drink. :)

    • @FullPurposeAndHeart
      @FullPurposeAndHeart  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I kept my camp very small and very private. Only neighborhood kids and no more than 6 (plus mine). So I didn't have any licensing or insurance.

      It’s difficult for sure. Marketing is always the hardest part. I used my neighborhood Facebook page and my church community. I lived in a very child-dense neighborhood so there was a big market to pull from. I was all about free marketing so that’s as far as my knowledge goes.
