Had to go down the hard way, never thought about leaving a clone at the bottom, mostly because the clone didn't work with the coins, so I thought it would be the same with these bells.
Yeah it wouldn't let me do that in the archive section where you have to get the 2 coins where the red blocks are. There you have to physically jump all the way back or it'll reset the coins.
it is counterintuitive indeed as in one of the hardest double xerxes sections with all those boxes fall onto you if you wrap up you miss them...I think the impossible climb was not super hard if you except the middle one on the top!
Update: you can no longer warp like in the video. You need to fall back down. But you can also slow down the descent by pressing the top R trigger repeatedly as you fall down. It's a very good trick... it basically slows down time as you descend and you can avoid spikes that way. Make sure to like my comment 👍
It’s interesting that the game allows you to return to your shadow. In other areas of the game, this strategy won’t work. For example the Xerxes coins and the bird challenge both require you to navigate directly to firm ground. If you shadow warp instead, you lose the item. Nice guide.
They likely allowed it on this one because they likely see this platforming puzzle as much more difficult in COMPARISON to platforming for xerxes coins and the seven seas treasure quest.
@@steelsteez6118 yes and I think the key difference here is that in the other challenges (Xerxes coins for example), getting back to stable ground is half the challenge. Here, you just basically have to drop down.
Getting down to the bottom is the easiest part of this challenge so I don't think it matters much. From the top just jump all the way left you'll clear everything and then hit a grappling hook right at the bottom by the main platform.
I did this a couple of times by pure accident. This was the perfect difficulty for me personally. Super tough, but didn't feel cheap or excessive. I actually only checked the video to find the location of the quest, and persevered to do it without looking at the guide on where the bells are. Really stoked to have got this one
Ok, I could finally beat this challenge using this method, but it was easier for me not to having to hang in those small cans for a very long time. I died too many times with those. The whip has enough range to reach the triangles for farther places and the first two bells can be caught in a shorter time. I'm really happy I could beat this.
The trick for this one is not using Rush of the Simurgh (dash) ability unless necessary. It seems to trigger the edge of the top spike hitboxes more than double jump does.
This challenge was actually super fun. I went back to complete after pretty much doing everything else, so it wasn't too bad. Placing a clone at the bottom is definitely key!
JUST beat this puzzle and then came to see if people solved it in the same way. It took me 20-ish tries and we had COMPLETELY different strategies. Your route seems so much smoother.
Wait, you can clone down to the bottom? After having that not work on the coins had assumed the same was true here. Good to know whenever I decide to go through for a second playthrough
I spent a half hour trying to get all three. I made it a few times, but kept screwing up on the descent. Since the Xerxes coins didn’t allow teleportation, I figured these would be the same. Out of frustration, I tried to teleport back after claiming one bell, and I’ll be damned if it didn’t work! I could have been done a long time ago, had I tried that first. Then it took me forever to get all three bells again, but a quick tap of L1 let me finish it.
Easiest for me was to create the shadow, then get the left bell first and continue to fetch the top bell and warp down. Then create the shadow again and get the bell on the right, warp back down and done. The hardest part for me was to reach the top bell. At first I tried to create a shadow in the middle somewhere to get back up quickly after failing, but that one gets deleted when you get reset to the bottom.
I finished this after watching this video thank you! upon multiple attempts i found out you can land on the very edge of the spikes without getting hurt, and ride these upward. Try it!
I was just gonna nope my way out of this and not even bother but now that I saw your video, I think I'm gonna try it. The challenge here is the smaller cans from what I understand, but I think the xerses coins in the Pit of eternal sands with the crystals are wayyyy worst than this
Took a few times, but nowhere near the most frustrating for me. Most difficult one for me was that spinning spike wheel challenge you get from the secret floor unlocked by that key.
I can't believe i beat this on my first try. I was thinking im gonna get stuck on this challange. I actually started on the right side then middle and got the 3rd one on the left last. Also did not warp i came down without hitting anything. 💪
I see everyone struggling with this one meanwhile I completed this on my 1st try. Maybe it's my platformer expirience for year, but this was a neat and fun puzzle imo
Maybe they changed smth but the quest was done as soon as I got the last bell without even returning back. But anyway I used teleport to return like in the video.
The worst part for me is the wait at the bottom.... So frustrating sitting there for the thing to come down... I would prefer twice the length if you started immediately.
The clipping is so random in this game, sometimes I can be very near a spike and not get killed other times I die straight away, making these challenges stressful
My game glitched and put me into god mode when i encountered this puzzle. Spikes didnt hurt me. It was way easier than all of this. I just want to know how my game glitched. Not that i want that again, but im just wondering?
I am having a weird bug where I returned all bells to the hermit and then my game froze! Even though I did not have trouble doing this it is still anoying that I habe to do it again 🙄
For people who finished Aeterna Noctis, this "challenge" was a walk in the park. It took me three tries. Also the reward was amusing, the shocking reveal, the Killmonger wannabe was the "lost child prince" all along, oh my god! Felt like the Shopee version of the Path of Pain (and to be clear, I loved this game, but there's some silly crap here in there)
I have an easier strategy. Leave a clone, get a bell, and return to your clone. Leave another clone get the second bell, and return to the clone. Repeat one final time and you're done. I got the most difficult bell (the highest) first.
helpful suggestion, although it takes more jumps to do it this way (since you have to climb 3 times) so there are more ways to go wrong but on the other hand it allows you to have some mental break and rest in between bells
There's nothing more I can do here. I did everything I could to make it to all the bells, and I still couldn't. there's no safe spot on any of the pillars...

@KarlSturmgewher Do like he said in the video wait until it's coming down so you can shoot up and get higher. Once you get used to the highest, the other two are much easier. I did the highest first, then the right, and left, which is the easiest last. It is nerve racking at first.

I thought the same thing LMAO
Yo i thought da same thing too smh i went down da hard way took 2 hrs to get it
I just jumped all the way left cleared everything and then hit the grapple hook right at the bottom to get back on the main platform with the old man.
same, doesn't make sense. you can't use the clone in the normal coins but it's allowed in the "impossible" challenge? 😂
You can't teleport that way anymore it doesn't work!! Maybe they patched it?
Just finished it. Can’t believe you could just warp at the end. Feels a bit counterintuitive to what the game has taught you up to this point.

It took me 30 minutes first time to get it. On 2nd playthrough, took me 15. It's definitely rage inducing 😂
Even with this guide I still haven’t completed this. You make it look effortless. Fantastic player and great video. 👍🏻 I’ll keep trying.
may be if you get a good joystick could do it. is a challenging game, but the control is smooth.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just forgot to add that property to the bells.

Beat it in 2 tries after watching your excellent video. The shooting back and forth, awaiting the upper weight to come down helped immensely. Thanks!

Exactly
I did it a bit different, but great tips about creating the shadow and waiting for the bells to go down.
I didn't put any clones down at the beginning point. I used clones to transit between cylinder to reach the top one
Incredible guide, first try thanks to this😅
Not sure I would have had the patience to figure this one out naturally or not. Hats off to all who did!

Turn on the high contrast mode. Makes it way easier.
How so?
Thanks for the tip, helped a ton.
Wow I was not paying attention to the dialog here. I went back out to search for these bells all over Mount Qaf! 😅😅
Just did it right after I saw your video. You are amazing, thanks
I’m here AFTER I completed this. I didn’t have the clone idea and died on the way down first time after getting all 3 bells 😂
