My Sister Stole My Research to Win a Science Award, But the Live Demonstration Changed Everything

  • You know what's worse than having your groundbreaking renewable energy research stolen? Watching your sister take credit for it at the prestigious Horizon Science Awards. I spent years perfecting this chemical process, only to have Nina sweep in and claim it as her own, with our family cheering her on. What she didn't realize was that winning the award came with strings attached - specifically, a live demonstration of the project she barely understood. Let's just say that when you mix complex chemical compounds with someone who can't tell a catalyst from a Bunsen burner, things tend to get explosive. Who knew that my path to vindication would involve safety goggles and a fire extinguisher?

I will never understand a family that not only wants to hide the truth but have the other person in the family give up her life work her career. That's not love that's manipulation and control, but it's not love seriously

And suddenly, she realized copying work isn’t the same as knowing it. Karma is beautiful.😏👏

The fact that Amara still chose to help Nina after everything shows true strength. Some people would’ve walked away forever, but she turned this into a lesson for everyone. Respect

Stories like this make me happy that i came from working class people that didn't really leave anything to inherent.

At 3:26, as Nina gives out a 'garbled' explanation of (some phase of the winning experiment) her amazing expertise....quickly followed by her dad, toasting her for brilliantly following in his footsteps in the scientific community...QUESTION:
If it's so that Almara, listening to the proffered explanation of that step, & as one much less experienced than her prestigeous father= how is it the girls' father did not also recognize the disconnected explanation?
Every skilled and practiced & talented musician (pianist), for instance, knows pages of sheet music containing literally hundreds of notes...commits it to memory so that when someone else plays even one note wrong, it's instantly recognized as an error, even if one is only half listening...
The dad should have noticed Nina's flawed explananation.

Even fairy tales are more realistic than this.
The Dad was such a manipulative loser for claiming Amara bore some blame for Nina's jealousy and his favoritism of Nina.
And Nina wanting to attend a reception intended for Amara? Does her ego know no bounds?
I've seen boxes of crabs that were less dysfunctional.

It was nice to hear narration that didn’t mess up words. But I agree, why lasagna all the time.

In all these stories, does mom know to make anything other than lasagna, or pot roast? These are the only two items mentioned.

Entertaining premise, but the AI dropped the ball. First protag's accomplishments are being dismissed, then she's suddenly daddy's favourite? He starts complaining the committee is harassing Nina, then he's outing her? Nice try AI.

While Amara was justified in feeling betrayed, her decision to let Nina publicly fail without stepping in could be seen as harsh. True integrity isn’t just about exposing the truth-it’s also about showing grace, especially when family is involved.

The parents coddled Nina and refused to believe that she would steal her sisters work. I doubt a family could resolve those issues considering the abuse they poured on Amara. The sister could have died in the demo. Resolution would not be going that quickly.
