    I was saved and destroyed by a woman that I loved , respected , admired for 6 years God knows the pain , suffering she put me through Still trying to recover from the destruction deep in my soul Too late I started to understand that I didn't love myself first Alone in the world no family no friends thats when the lessons are learned better because nobody was around to help me thats the real test

      The answer to the problem was stated in your first sentence………..to love another you need to be comfortable to give some of the love you have learned to give yourself first, the word “ saved” suggests you had not learned how important it is to know you can share your love but never to the point that it will “ destroy “ you

      Its called The Dunning-Kruger effect which is a cognitive bias[2] whereby people with low ability, expertise, or experience regarding a certain type of a task or area of knowledge tend to overestimate their ability or knowledge. Some researchers also include in their definition the opposite effect for high performers: their tendency to underestimate their skills.

    Charles Bukowski has enriched my life, ever since my "cool" English teacher surreptitiously gave me a copy of "Factotum" in the mid 1970s. I now own all his books and his spoken word LPs. He wrote poetry, prose, short stories, novels, screenplays and semi-autobiographical works. Bukowski was quite active doing live readings and he would fill smaller auditoriums in towns, cities and college theaters. His readings were provocative and hecklers didn't stand a chance. "Hank" was a counter-culture celebrity and he took zero shit from audiences. He never got widely "famous" while he was alive, but he is considered an American treasure now. If he were alive in 2022, I can only imagine what he would have to say about identity politics, "woke" idiocy, "pop culture", regressive politics and the rest of that static. Bukowski was a great American.

      @@sovereigncitizen3633 Alcohol was a panacea for Bukowski. During live performances (readings), he would invariably bring a six-pack of beer or a bottle of wine on to the stage with him and he would drink as he read his work. Alcohol was an intrinsic part of his persona and I think that the alcohol got "Bukowskied" rather than the alcohol making him an "alcoholic". Bukowski drank his entire life, right up to the very end and I daresay, he wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

    A real man is never afraid of being alone, or losing a woman. He loves her, but he will leave in a split second without hesitation. He's learned to be happy and content all alone, and that's exactly what makes him both a good partner, and a dangerous person to mistreat. Because he will walk away and never look back, only forward, with a big smile on his face. He won't have to be promiscuous, just to cope with loss. Then jump into a toxic relationship with an unhappy, desperate person. If your behavior has demonstrated that you do not love and respect him, he sees no loss in losing you. He is also fast to cut off friends and family. He would rather be all alone, than be around the wrong people. His standards are high, but logical. He is complete without anyone, who doesn't enhance his life. This is true, both for a real man, and a real woman. Too many unhappy people are looking for happiness in another person, and it's because they don't even have an ability to make themselves happy. He refers to this as insanity. If you are incomplete and unhappy, take a long look in the mirror. Happiness is an internal force that cannot be gifted, only enhanced. If you need any relationship, you're a very weak and insecure person, who needs to focus on personal self-development.

    We all or most anyway, want to find someone who fills our heart, if you find someone in this life time you are a fortunate person. Sometimes we loose that person. It is sad and hurts. Keep your heart open. The loves I have had in my life, so glad they came along. Wouldn’t have wanted to miss that for anything. By the saying "How can you trust a creature that bleeds every month and doesn't die?", is he referring to women(menstruation)?

    • @JoachimMoeller
      @JoachimMoeller 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Very well-known quote, in some circles at least, though whether he meant it as tongue-in-cheeck as those I've often seen using the quote I have no clue about since I pretty much only know the guy by name and from a few quotes here and there.
      He is indeed referring to what you thought he was. The error in the video, the narrator actually saying "How can you trust a creature that bleeds every month and doesn't LIE?" is just too funny. No, not the fact that women lie [as much as men] but the "how can you trust someone that doesn't lie" thing. There has to be a term for this, one I either forgot or haven't learned yet, about such two parts of a statement being logically mutually exclusionary, for lack of a better term.
