- Jyotiraditya Scindia discloses how Congress veteran Kamal Nath triggered his exit from the party with taunts like 'सड़क पे आ जाओ'. Scindia, who is the BJP candidate from Guna, says initially he was not keen on joining politics since he had graduated from Stanford University and was working on a start-up. But the tragic death of his father in 2001 changed the course of his life. Now in 2024, Scindia says he is very much an insider in the BJP and staunchly defends his family legacy 'of perseverance and martyrdom' against attacks from Congress leaders like Priyanka Gandhi who branded him a 'traitor'.

He’s tense & tired so be reasonable with him. His mother was in a critical state & the pressure n tiredness of the election. You can’t expect him to be smiling …what must going in his mind. And then his mother dies. As a son the family rituals must be there keeping his stature as an ex raja.
