Great vid as always Jay. Biggest cost for me was my 45k mile service, had rotors & breaks, spark plugs replaced and did a rear diff flush & service which was about 6k total (had a local BMW specialized shop do it for me, my local BMW dealer charged close to 8k). Hurt my wallet but should be good for the next 50k miles. Sometimes the expensive cost complaints are just people getting all the service requirements just popping up at the same time instead of evening out over the years.

    • @jaywhips

thank you bro ! Yep exactly if its all at once its expensive.

    • @sueddo2634

@@DG-xj7pm good suggestion, I have an extended warranty up until 80k miles that I think covers rod bearings? I’m assuming out of pocket maintenance fix for that is pricy. I’ll be trading in the car the moment the warranty clocks out.

@@AfricaTwin1998 Lmao. You’re telling me you got rotors, break pads, spark plugs, and fluids for a total of 300$? Either you’re capping or you got the most bootleg stuff possible. Edit: you’re definitely saving the majority of costs doing it yourself but not 5% of 6k.

I only use REDLINE 5w40 oil in my M6 Gran Coupe with 53k miles on the clock, and change it about every 3k-3.5k miles. Trust me when i say this is the best oil i have ever used and ive owned a e46 M3 and a e60 M5 and noticed a huge difference on all the cars once i start using redline oil. My M6 is stage 2 tuned decated downpipe and doesnt burn a single drop of oil, i guess im very lucky to have a good s63tu. GOD BLESS.
