Starting is never easy. The harvester is a great piece to have. You will have success selling you Pecans
Thanks for the vote of confidence Arthur :) I hope so 😁
Super!)
Thanks! 👍🏻
That looks like a cool machine. And what a nice harvest of pecans. Let me know when it's time to place my order. Have a wonderful day
Thanks Renee! We are looking forward to the big harvest too😁👍🏻 we will let ya know! Have a great and blessed day, the temps are dropping more here now brrr....haha
You have a beautiful pecan garden! I also plan to plant a test small pecan garden in Ukraine. Although I am not yet sure that the nuts will ripen every year in our country...
Thank you, it’s a lot of work at times. That sounds like a great plan, just make sure they are planted somewhere that gets full sun and cover with warm cover during freezing while young during winter and they will maybe do just fine. If planted from seed they take 15 years to produce native Pawnee types but if you are able get a young grafted improved variety tree and plant it you can have pecans by year 4 or 5
@@coppertreeacres Thanks for the advice!) Yes, I have already studied a little about the topic of growing pecans ...) I think the winter hardiness of most varieties is high, there is only one question - will the amount of active temperatures be enough ... I have 1000+ pecan seedlings and there are already successful grafting of seedlings varietal cuttings!) But I can't find some varieties with early ripening anywhere. I think they should definitely ripen in my hills until frost...
@@UkrainianHazelnutPecanWalnut Wow That’s a lot! Good for you! I think early varieties would be better but most should be formed enough by frost. All you can do is keep going and see how they adapt to your climate, look forward to hearing about the progress :)

😊Thank you for evaluating my work! Yes, only when I plant grafted pecans in my house, only then will I know the answers to all the questions I have about pecans!) Actually, my super hobby is hazelnuts! I already have about 110 different varieties and forms of many corners of the world...
That is fantastic! I would love to grow some hazelnut trees, I need to look into it. You have a beautiful property and looks like the Hazelnuts do well there!
I like the harvester. I understand you have to let thwm dry somewhat. My pecan tree had a bumper crop of bad pecans this year because of the drought. Hopefully next year will be better.
Oh no, I’m sorry about your Pecans. Has that happened before? I hope it’s a better year next year too!
Between rain, bugs and drought we are at natures mercy. Pecans naturally have a 2 year cycle. One good harvest and one bad harvest.

Haha! Yep, that’s about right, too many squirrels this season
Hello,
How does the product perform on sloping terrain?
Have you had a chance to try it?
thanks
Hi there, yes we have been using it, its been doing great! You just reminded me we need to do a follow up review to this video. We have some slops on the property where the berms are for our irrigation channel, depending on how steep the slope is that you are needing to harvest it preforms better at picking up more fallen nuts by pushing up-hill than going down. If you have an extreme slopped area it seems it would help to push up hill and also tilt the basket up a bit by pushing the handle toward the ground more as you go along, but you cant tilt it too much or you will defeat the purpose of getting the nuts into the basket. We will look to do a follow up sometime soon and include using it on a slope. Hope this info helps a bit. Feel free to ask any other question you may have, Thanks!
Now all you have to do is figure out how to hook a leaf blower onto the front of it and you're set. Morning exercises here you come.
That’s the spirit! 👍🏻
