Blackpool Coronation Tram Parade - Sunday 7th May 2023

Sunday 7th May 2023 was a glorious day in very sunny Blackpool and eleven heritage trams were turned out immaculately for a Coronation parade befitting our new monarch and his consort, King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
Setting off from Pleasure Beach at 2.15pm, the eleven trams made their way along the South Promenade and Central Promenade to North Pier and Tower, after which they carried on to Bispham or Little Bispham.
Crowds in their thousands watched the parade and it was a great credit to Blackpool Transport and their staff who delivered a stunning performance.
The trams involved were: 227, 600, 621, 680, Bolton 66, Western Train 733-734, Trawler 737 and HMS Blackpool 736 followed by Balloons 717, 707 and 700.
We hope you enjoy this right royal celebration of Blackpool's trams, including the Bombardier Flexity 2 light rail vehicles that kept the Starr Gate to Fleetwood service going.
