    OMG! please stop using the drill! The sound of stripping heads is hard to hear. otherwise, thanks for the video. good walk-through.

    You should always disconnect the Negative Battery post not the Positive. If you disconnect the Positive with a metallic wrench and you touch any other metal surface you are going to get a big spark.

      I was thinking the same thing, I could have swore we are supposed to disconnect the negative.

      If you leave the lights off, you don't have to disconnect either one

    The drill and not crimping the heat shrink connectors is cringe.

    Very similar to what I did.. Same thing, but i used a while halo that has a magnifying beam light in the middle to match my halo headlights and halo turn signals.

    When I upgraded my mirrors to the EZ View mirrors years ago, I shattered the OEM driver side mirror while trying to remove it as well. I told myself that once my mirror lights burn out, I probably wouldn't go through the trouble of replacing them, and risk breaking my (now impossible to find) mirrors. A lot of people swap their lamps for LEDs, but I personally don't find this light to be all that useful anyway so I'll just leave them be. Thanks for sharing your video.

    great video, so were you able to get a good return from your two cars? what are your plans for the FJ? Lift? bigger tires?

    • @DrivenCompanion
      @DrivenCompanion  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I came out ahead on both! I don't think I'll be going bigger on the FJ. I'm pretty happy with its height and tire size right now.

    I have replaced the stock bulbs with amber LEDs. I am not sure how bright is this kit, but from the reflection on your fj’s hood, I think the LEDs I installed are so much brighter. P.S.: I also removed the internal blue filter from the stock housing to get a brighter and real amber light.

      I wouldn't want them to be too bright or you're just blinding on-coming traffic. The halo effect on these is pretty cool too.

      @@DrivenCompanion They are not too bright for other traffic, but it fills the hood with diffused amber light, which I like a lot.
      I like the halo effect too in this kit.
