This is a great talk...I would love to see one directed towards visual art as worship...much of my art is inspired by my religious beliefs but in many ways it seems as though there really isn't a place for artists in the church. Though the church we go to has individuals that respect art it's still hard to be a Christian artist...I'm working on sharing my beliefs through writing and my art (both are shared on YT from time to time)...Thanks again for this. It really was encouraging...
Hi Felicia! Glad you were encouraged by this! Part of our vision is to highlight the idea that worship can and should be more than just music or other forms found in a "typical" church service. We believe in worship in every aspect of your life, and in your case, your art. As you mention it, our Edmonton team will be hosting a Training Day on Nov. 19 which will include a session on Photography and the idea of "visual worship" and hopefully we'll see more of these in the future that we can record and upload here!
