Just knowing "there are lots of people as bad as me" definitely helps. And hey, he's taught us a lot. Surely none of us would trickle treb, grab supplies at bad times, grab coinage, forget that animals decay, make farm TC's, etc. We'll probably still forget to make vills or manage armies properly because we're not gonna magically become micro and macro gods. We may not have build orders or timing down. We may not know the best army composition to create. We may not notice our resources and forget to age up. We may suck at collecting relics. We may be bad scouters and possibly still rely on auto scout. We may not respond well to aggression. and, as he put it in this video, either under react or over react.
But I think dedicated viewers have definitely inherently lost/never gained a lot of bad habits thanks to him. And of course like you said, he's increased our confidence. It really is important to remember that in theory, we'll only in about 50% of our games and, to climb, we only need to win 51% of our games. We're just gonna lose, plain and simple.
This was such a funny LEL game, I was cracking up just like T90 did many times in this video😂
Knowing that you lose a resource if you click to another one still in your hands is one thing I knew from the beginning because I was always nervous about that. It wasn't till I followed T90 that I learned you can build a new camp and drop it off, so I'd always be clicking back to the TC before making a new building!
Does that work too for others resources? Like dropping off wood when building a mining camp or castle?
it works when building any kind of collection building, like a camp or TC. It doesn't work for other buildings like castles.

@@mrkampfcookie2118 if you make a resource building you will drop off the resource you currently have. For example if a villager is holding 10 stone and you build a lumber camp with that villager or multiple, you will get the stone when that villager finishes. This even works with farms and for any resource the vill is holding. This does not work for buildings that dont let you drop off resources.

How blue was able to mine gold in the middle for half an hour and still never afford a treb will forever be a mystery.
That micro example of low elo was funny. I remember playing seriously some years ago when I still knew my things (now just playing casually once every so often, very rusty), I think I was around 1200-1300 elo. I would out micro enemy skirmisher spam with my crossbows, great micro for my elo atleast. But god damn did my eco suffer behind it xD

22:50 It took me sooo long to realize it was worthwhile building multiple of the same production building. Even after I'd figured out things like the boar trick, food decay, tree cutting with siege, and quick-walling, I was still like "but why would I need a second barracks".

Wow, that was an amazing game! They were both skilled enough to make a lot of really good plays, but not so skilled they could easily counter their opponent's plays before they had an impact.
It's historically accurate as the Incas offered up human and even child sacrifices as far as I know.

Blue probably has all that army on one hotkey. Sometimes, hotkey's are a hinderance.

Blue could have denied that first aggressive castle drop but he attacked the castle for almost a minute instead of the vills. Those skirms werent even being contested. Would have been a free deny

Also the AC fix is easy. Just a dedicated circuit from your breaker to a junction for only the AC in your office. I have a commercial electrician that does work on my shop/plant i can recomment. He serves 90% of the state.

Been a long while since I heard T90 mention anything about viewer falling alseep to his videos or maybe I fall asleep before then but I very much appreciate that T90 posts videos almost every night so that I have something new to fall asleep to. GF hates it but I can't sleep without it like an addiction lol
Im too engaged to sleep, but I have other youtubers I use for sleep. I've got a set of "pillow speakers" that sit under the pillow and only I can hear them which are great if you sleep with someone else.
red's disregard for civilian life on a battlefield is heinous
it's easy to look good when you have the muscle memory to hit your binds for worker production and you opponent is shadow boxing somewhere on the map. Still the player who won lost something like 60 or 80 villagers for free and that is definitely wood league territory.

Obviously its low elo so they both made a lot of mistakes, but I think the turning point for blue was not going UP TO IMP when he had the chance and delaying it making those magyar hussars. Getting trebs out taking out those castles in the middle would have been HUGE considering how many villagers red is willing to suicide into making new ones and for how long red just left blues castles in the middle up without sieging them down. Cuz like, he did a good job raiding and distracting and all that jazz. If he had just been a few minutes quicker to Imp and gotten those trebs, I think he could have taken the game.
But the game also could have been different if he didnt forge the had that gold pile at home. It could have been different if he had better eco since he seemed to just stop producing somewhere at 40-50~ vills. It could have been different if he wasnt so stuck on counter units, especially pikes when the enemy literally cannot make cavalry. Like obviously there were a huge amount of things he could have done different/better. I just point that out because blue was kinda in control until those castles came down and he was technically in a good spot to potentially deal with them. IIRC when blue first had Imp resources, red was nowhere near it. Then when he DID have imp, he went hoardings first instead of rushing the trebs. While he probably would have trickle trebbed, I have confidence in his ability to distract and raid, and don't have confidence in reds ability to respond to attacks well. I mean he clearly makes his units suicidal, so at the very least any units he had protecting the trebs would have gotten free kills as red suicides soldiers into the trebs. And probably sends vills to repair the castles, letting blues skirms (unfortunately) pick off a bunch of free suicidal vills.
I think the decisions he made to delay his trebs is potentially what cost him.

Hello All, a question for the community.... I have asked this once before in the past with no reply, but can anyone tell me what ELO means or stands for? Sorry I've been out of the AOE scene for a while. Thank you in advance!
It's actually Elo. It is the name of the person that came up with the ranking system, which is also used in other applications. Generally games where you have have a 1v1 matchup that one player wins and the other loses (like chess).
In the case of Age of Empires, referring Elo is talking about their rank in ranked games. 1000 is the "average" starting Elo, so LEL are typically under 1000 Elo players.
Better to accidentally shave the middle of your moustache than accidentally shaving the sides of your moustache. That would've been really awkward for a while.

Amazing game. I was begging for blue to start making petards when red built those castles in the adjacent tile in the middle.
This makes me want to never play multiplayer I'm just gonna get roasted
