Und joa, so eine Lawo wäre das absolut optimale für unser Hobbystudio und unseren Stand auf der Maker Faire gewesen😅 Fangen auch gerade so ein bisschen mit YT, twitch, blog etc. an, da wär sowas auch echt geil zu zeigen. Aber schön zu sehen, dass die Konsole wieder so schön hergerichtet wird ;) Für unser Hobby-Studio tut's momentan unser Rauschinger MX8000😅 Auf Dauer suchen wir uns aber auch nochmal ein schönes Rundfunk Pult :) Viele Grüße, Niklas :)

You're very welcome. Since I'm from Germany myself there is no problem understanding, but you have used German words in English sentences, which I find pretty jarring. Interesting video nonetheless!

I started my IT journey with Windows NT 4.0. First time i have heard of a digital audio console system based on NT 4. Seems that LAWO was serious in wanting to create a stable system. I know many Widows 95 system existed and was very unstable.
Oh you are right! Obviously Win 95 was long out when this console was developed! Maybe the previous generation of consoles was built on NT and just updated for the MC2? Thanks and all the best, Tobi
The problem with digital gear: if the software (the computer) no longer works, all you have is a pile of hazardous waste. Even the very old analog consoles can be repaired, but the digital gear from the 90s usually can't. I once invested in a bloody expensive Soundtracs DPC-II. It was a cool console back then, but we gave it away for free a few years ago. 😂 I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the restoration of your Lawo! 🤞Maybe just keep just the converters and the transformers and bring the rest to the Recyclinghof.😉
Thank you so much for your comment! The DPC looks nice. I remember thinking if you could use the stageboxes from those as MADI converters but I‘m not sure if it would be worth the quality. With LAWO I know the converters are great but stay tuned I don‘t know it it is easily possible to use those standalone 🤔 Thanks an all the best, Tobi
This is great! I enjoy these videos. I try to repair and demo older audio gear too and it is fun! This will be an interesting project to watch. I have been getting more interested in older digital audio gear lately too.

There was a set of 3 smaller frames with 72 analog I/Os available on eBay around October for 1000€, nobody bought it in three attempts…
