The way Damien behaves with his human brother was so amazing. The kind of compassion and respect he showed shook me. One of the best sequels ever made of a horror or suspense film. The classroom scene with Damien answering all the ques correctly was also great.

My personal favorite of all of the Omen films. Hammy but enjoyable acting that pushes the camp envelope just far enough, and several arresting and excellently shot death scenes, in particular the elevator sequence. Jerry Goldsmith contributes another good musical score as well.
I was never happy about Carl Buckenhagen being killed off so early in the film. He could have featured so much more since he's the only one who really knew the truth about Damien.

They literally show you the whole movie in the trailer but I can't help be enthralled by it, the kid who played Damien here really creeps me out, but he's also cute, which is why is brilliant since he can easily go from a an angel looking kid to the demon he really is, this is my favorite omen movie.

I agree. But what puzzles me is she looks sad and shocked when she finds Marion dead, and cries and screams when Mark dies, then cries at Mark's funeral. I agree that her protectiveness of Damien makes it clear she "belongs to him", as she says at the end, but at the same time you'd think if she was a hard-core follower she wouldn't have minded Marion or Mark dying 🤔
When Damien walked out of that museum without either Richard or Ann, I wonder if the personal driver for the Thorns asked for an explanation as to what happened.

Outside of his loyalty to his belief system, his personal decisions to like him was likely influenced by their siimiliar childhood. Plus, I'm guessing that his life experiences (up to that moment) came with specific choices and experiences that had him committ to Damian, in ways that he had.
I woukd like to see this redone with a lower kill count, more of a struggle with his demonic side and a slower evolution of Richard. Gregory Peck's evolution made sense. They could've taken out some of the business parts of the script to develop Damien and having a Dr Loomis character, or a few that conspire to kill Damien and have a true chess match between him and his protectors.
No. It was essential to have continued the Miggido / archeological motif along with him being born of a jackal. And the Yigael's Wall inflection was the making of the production. It maybe needed the Biblical archeology exhibition to have proceeded from the Thorn Museum and the Yigael's Wall images of Damien to have been unveiled to all and sundry on opening night. With exclamations of " Eeeeh " " Oooh " " Yo ! ".With reporters asking Richard Thorn, " What's the go with your paternal nephew being on 11th Century rock slab illustrations ? ".To which Richard Thorn replies, " Beats the hell out of me ! ". then Richard Thorn goes, " Murray ! Get Damien the hell out of here. ", and, " Dr. Warren [ or Charles ], I want a full explanation of how this was put together, and by whom. ". And by then you're still only about half way through the normal running time of the movie. But you still gotta also have the doctor[s] findings on Damien's jackal cell structure.
Lee Grant calling out: "Damieeeehhn!" I saw this trailer a million times on TV when I was Damian's age. Thankfully I don't do horror films, but this trailer is amazing.
The third film was such a let down. I think Fox should had redone that instead of the original film and give the trilogy a proper, dramatic and apocalyptic conclusion the first two films were setting up.

I don't think it showed the elevator scene in its entirety. That really got me as a kid watching. It doesn't show the classroom scene either which was mesmerizing to watch.

This trailer gives away THE ENTIRE MOVIE! Like I get that most of us have already seen it, but I feel bad for the one or two people who might come on here innocently to check out the trailer that haven’t seen the film. Like, wow. In that sense, this is a pretty great summary of the entire movie, and a terrible trailer.
What does this give away exactly? "Nobody believes politician that his adopted son is the antichrist and people are dying all around him" is not a spoiler, that's just the plot of the movie!

Just watched both the first and this 2nd movie, 2nd movie was good but nothing like the first one. the first one was a masterpiece. there was a true horror in the first movie. this 2nd movie was more like the "final destination".
I enjoyed Sylvia Sidney in her small role as Aunt Marion and 2 very gruesome deaths , the ice scene and the bird attack Those 2 deaths were extremely well staged, but the rest of the movie was simple retread of the first one, just more inventive sick ways to kill
At the start of the film Bugenhagen has a box he shows to Michael and asks him to give it to his new parents The Ambassador's brother and his wife. In this box is a letter and the seven knives of Megiddo.( we know this because at The end of Damien Omen II Charles and Richard find the box with the knives and the letter in it). The film states Ambassador Thorn died 1 week before in the exchange between Michael and Bugenhagen at the start of the film.. How can Bugenhagen have the knives in the box one week later when a week earlier he gave the knives to The Ambassador.? Apart from this gaff The film is still a good one.

The set and setting was so well done in both this and the first film.
I don't usually like sequels but this was every bit as good if not better than the first Omen movie.

In the book, it's explained that the driver, Murray, was one of Damien's protectors along with Paul Buher and Sgt. Neff.

Yes from the screen shot of the trailer is where Damian looks down to Pasarian and he falls off the ladder. By choking from the leak.

Part 1 and 2 were awesome but final conflict was desister
Tough act to follow but it was a decent follow up with a great twist.

Yeah he did and with Mark's death the Las trace of humanity died and the beast was unleashed with him accepting his calling unlike Kevin Lomax.
