You're the goat man! What a solid review.. you covered everything! I wasn't expecting such an amazing audio test with various noises in background..lol The JLab work buds did phenomenal in terms of noise cancellation. I wish the compression was more natural.. they make the voice sound tinny.
Appreciate the support :) whenever microphone noise cancellation is added in any audio device there's a slight sacrifice on the most natural voice quality for the gain of reduced background noise.
The Voyager had the loudest voice, but second worst noise canceling next to the airpods. If the voice wasn't so low on the jlabs, it would be more than worth it
@@HeadsetAdvisor I currently use an on-ear for office and neckband for home. I was wondering if JLab Work Buds can replace the two. The lack of ANC is a deal breaker 🥺 Mic is good though. I'm not sure why these buds are not popular. I hardly see any reviews online and it's hardly available anywhere.
You're welcome and thanks for watching. It sounds like the Opencomm 2 UC could be anothe to consider th-cam.com/video/7tm9PAU0-lE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1vnmc5RMLWaWLFb5
Great review! I have several Jlab products, and they are pretty decent for the price. Please review Elevoc products. They have unmatched ENC performance both on their earbuds (Elevoc Clear) and on their headset (Elevoc Link), but I doubt you can still get them though..
The work buds mic do pretty well with isolating the speakers voice even though the voice does sound tinny/compressed - I would be interested to hear how well the mic works if someone is having a conversation nearby
Hi.. I appreciate if you can make a video about extra long range earbuds for TEAMS where I can use it while moving around a bit in the house like kitchen or next room. BLUETOOTH or 2.4Ghz or whatever. Thanks.
superb video man !!! love that pro work !!! to me the best seem to be airpods gen3 !!! yes they let noise inside, but the VOICE is actually very NATURAL !!! JLAB est great but there is compression !
There is some truth to that what's been working well for us is if you prefer the sound of airpods is to use a noise cancelling software we are releasing later this year neep.com enter your email for exclusive early acces and a free month of premium.
Concrete mixer driver here, looking to make calls and listen to music while outside the truck. We must wear a Mips hardhat (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) while outside the truck so a on the ear design (over the ear causes alot of sweat inside the cup on hot days). Plus it has to fit along with the hard hat. Sometimes, while working it gets very loud but i think your blender noise test is probably fairly accurate for most of our noise, at least. Your wind test could use wind speed in MPH for it to be useful for us, say 20mph to simulate being in an open field. Dust and water resistant at least, but proof would be ideal. The Jlab work buds looked promising but the sound is lacking imo. One other thing many of us wear prescription glasses so anything BESIDES our frames over our ears becomes very uncomfortable very quickly. Anything for us?
I'd like to see a comparison with other ultra-portable boom mic models, with noise cancellation, like the Voyager Legend, and some comparably priced non-boom earbuds with noise cancellation, like the Anker/Soundcore Liberty 4 NC. Comparing it to non-noise cancelling earbuds was a complete waste of time.
If y’all haven’t figured it out yet get rid of the little flag ring for the flush one. This will get rid of 95% of the discomfort. I’m a naughty boy and wear these will drive for 10/12 hrs. Still have very slight discomfort from the body of the bud resting on back of my ear. This is only noticeable when smiling or moving ears. Can not notice it when talking. I don’t like over the head units and didn’t want to buy another Polly Voyager after the last one pretty much disintegrated after 3 years. And seem from everything I’ve seen blue parrots are no good.
In regards to the microphone quality airpods and AirPods Pro are basically identical. Now in regards to speakers they are different but what you heard on the video would be about the results
No you do not. Something also to consider is if you need more noise cancellation we are launching a new software soon which will take noise cancellation to the next level. neep.com enter you email to get exclusive early access and 1 month free.
This is so true. Bought the Poly Free 60 after years as a loyal Plantronics user... ended up returning them. They were only OK with Teams on PC but horrible with the smartphone, and wanted to fall out of my ears no matter what. Current using the Linkbuds S which are way better than the Free 60, but I'll admin I'm curious to try the Workbuds. Jlab has made some clutch cheap devices over the years.
I purchased and have started using these and I like everything about them except I keep getting feedback from those I am on a call with that they hear a lot of background noise. Not sure why when in your video it seemed to block background noise very well. Any advice on what settings you used?
Shokz seemed better during him talking with noise in background (slightly), but no noise gate like Jlab has. When not using mic ib the jlab, the mic is silent regardless of noise. Also the bone conduction on shokz has a significant lack of fidelity.
in quiet environment, 1) Poly V Free 60, 2) Jlab work buds, 3) apple. most the time I'm in an environment which may have sudden noise. 1) Jlab work bunds, 2) Poly V free 60, 3) apple. the lack of wireless integration of Jlab on buttons to communication app mute and etc is very disappointing. btw, thank you so much for all the simulations, liked typing on keyboard, blender, and etc. they are so valuable.
That’s a good question. It should just be plug and play. Although we reviewed these buds, we don’t support them so Jlab would be best to contact to see if they can assist.
one question, is the certified for microsoft teams just another money grab? i mean for microsoft getting money from the headset makers? which eventually we pay for? or is there a legit reason?
Pretty much. Aside from that, Teams certified devices will give you advanced abilities on the computer like being able to answer/end calls from the headset when away from the computer, or seeing that your microphone is muted during a meeting.
True we just tested the mic on the new Sony XM5 earbuds which should be released next week which does have LE audio support microphone performance was quite good. check out the product here: amzn.to/44OVCZ4

Is there a build in separate microphone in the buds, so that it can be use as headset without the mic bom?

Give the Shokz opencomm 2 a look. If background noise is an issue, you can put earplugs in your ears and hear even better.

How do you compare its mic with the Yeilink BH71 and Poly voyager 5200?
Yes, I'd like to know this comparison too

can this earbuds connect to the USB dongle? my company laptop doesn't allow me to use bluetooth, but permit to use dongle for audio connection
If you have a generic Bluetooth dongle that can be paired then yes. It doesn’t have an option for a usb dongle from the manufacturer.

We haven’t tested the boya M1 unfortunately
why isn’t my boom mic working at all??

Damn wish i could buy this but it is so expensive in the Philippines
I'm gonna import without fees. U wanna join?
Does anyone know if it's possible to integrate with 3CX to answer or hang up calls via the button? Thanks
I haven’t tested it but I don’t believe so since RingCentral and 3CX both utilize HID headset and it doesn’t allow call control. So I’d assume not.
