'Balls on a Budget'. That's the first thought that comes to mind with the new Apricus6 from Artist Guitars. They've taken the classic T-Style and modded it with a mahogany body, roasted maple neck, quilted maple top, 2 x 'Starbow' humbucking pickups, eco-rosewood 12" radius fingerboard, bone nut, locking machines and a hardtail string-thru bridge. The Apricus6 is a stunning looker and player and it won't burn a hole in your pocket. This is 3.8kgs of rocking good fun.

I love artist guitars, they as a company really are a breath of fresh air, the guitars are cheap in price only, the quality and sound is top notch.
This guitar arrived today. I can honestly say after playing guitar for 30 years. Once restrung polished the frets. Blind folded. As Brett states. You would think this guitar was 10 times the price. The pick ups. Equal any of the top brands. @Artistguitars you should sell these pick ups separately. Great video Brett amazing playing as always.

EDIT: what the heck?!? $450Aus dollars? That's an unbelievable price for a guitar with such features.
I don't think I've ever been so tempted to go and buy something in the spur of the moment. I suspect many people who see this demo will. Until you hinted that it was a budget guitar, I had no idea whatsoever, given the looks and the sounds coming out of that thing. I figured it was a small boutique Australian guitar company that some buddies of yours own or something. Really nice. REALLY nice. The clean and medium gain stuff all sound fantastic to me.
I haven’t stopped smiling since mine arrived.

I just received it. It is really good. Intonation was only slightly out.
It is pretty good for the price and compared to the mm axis ,it is right up there.pitty I have to do work

Great playing as usual and what a sound! Just waiting for this to come back in stock. This will make it Artist Guitars number 4 for me and even though I don't gig anymore I would not hesitate in using their guitars on stage.
The landscape has changed in the "budget" guitar World in the last 30 years and while priced at budget I do not at all consider Artist Guitars a budget guitar.
I’m still waiting. The evil empires and elites are trying to crush humanity. Why do I bring this up, it’s impacting manufacturing, pricing and supply chain. Result we don’t get squat.

Got it and love it :)
I changed strings to 9-42, lowered neck pickup, light setup and that is it. Now, middle position is like a Tele, very nice sound.
The problem has been they never have nothing in stock for the USA. This has been a problem for years
I was gonna get one of these and the bass too ... oh well...
I just discovered them, was happy there was a US deals, emailed and got same standard response. I want this one and the Strat with rounded heel and roasted neck. My plan was to sell my guitars and buy these two. I am being held hostage by Artist USA.

No idea, sorry Terry. They seem to be revamping the entire range at the moment but I'm not privy to what's going on. I've been off their radar for a little bit.

Bought one of these guitars this week. Unfortunately came with the neck pickup falling out of the body. Pickup ears were stripped out. Had to modify by putting nuts on the screws to secure the pickup. I really like the neck, and playability. The pickups sound pretty good. It’s just unfortunate you have to work on a new guitar to make it playable 🫤
