- Want to learn how to boardslide an urban style rail on your snowboard!?! I finally did a tutorial today, on the most requested trick! My problem, in part, is years of skateboarding has made me want that 'locked on' feel, plus being able to just step off when necessary.
The slippage on rails factor snowboarding and also just thinking about edge catching (leaning too far forwards or backwards on board) make me squirm.
Interesting, it's the flat and 90 degrees I'll keep in mind, as well as bent knees and of course being stood up straight over the top of it.
Good tips!
I've done a good amount of board slides on my snowboard, but very basic rails or boxes, I prefer to just go straight and ride it like a 50-50.

Great vid. When you say keep the rail under your binding. Do you tend to stick with front foot over the rail, rear, or whatever feels right?
They are all different tricks depending on which binding your sliding on.
