You should make zombies take less bullets and make them flinch when shot to give bullets an impact instead of a blood splatter.
From someone who just started learning to use UE, the amount of work here is impressive. So many little things that go un noticed. Keep going, game looks great. Knowing when and where to pick your battles is always a struggle, as no matter how far you go there is always room for improvement.
Looking good! I like the different footstep sounds. It makes you feel like your in the world more.
Hey man, keep up the good work, great stuff so far!
Thanks, mate!
Awesome video! The game is looking really good. Liking the idea of your game. Also the movement and combat system are spot on especially when the player character is changing weapons. The different footpath sound effect is a good feature to add as it helps with the immersion of the game. Also you could add a button that will take all the items from a zombie instead of dragging them one by one but that is just optional and depends on the game play style. Looking forward to your next devlog. Keep it up! :)
I like the gameplay mechanics, tho I think map needs some work, some parts of the it look kind of lifeless, also I recommend making ambient sounds not just a 2D sound playing on loop but make it more natural with bunch of 3D sounds from different areas like for example DayZ. I know the game is not even close to being finished yet, I wish you all the best!
Awesome! Having a great time following this. And for a game dev, this is an insanely fast upload schedule!
One suggestion. The flashlight bouncing back and forth is a bit nauseating. I know it’s realistic, but it personally bothers me.
Just a suggestion!
You should add broken down cars everywhere
Some are already mapped but I plan to add heaps more.
What's your rig homie, what gpu?, the framerate looks rough, otherwise very good stuff man!!
I am currently optimizing the game for the first time, that is why the FPS is low in this video. I've actually made some good progress with it and it averages double the FPS now. My specs however are: i5 8600 + GTX 1660 Super + 32GB Ram + 1TB NvME and also playing/recording in the editor.
game looks good man, when will it become closed beta?
Hopefully by the end of this year.
Yo man when's this game's gonna be released?
You and your game has so much potential and is your game out yet?
Not yet mate, I just started developing the game a few months ago.
@@WeponzTV okay
Hey with your zombies do you use AI spawner that covers the whole map or something else?
I use spawn points and a manager blueprint.
this was interesting to watch, it felt like you ran through everything you added so you could show us almost 5 minutes of gameplay which was not fun to watch, I think it would be better if you slowed down and talked more about each thing you added, a script might also be useful so you don't say umm every 5 seconds
I have speech disfluency disorder so it's practically impossible to read off a script. All I can do is freestyle it and hope I remember to mention everything.
@@WeponzTV oh ok
So will this game run on 15 fps or what? Because thats what the footage looks like
I did notice a frame drop since adding the new sky box, so I need to look into it. Also, I am yet to optimize the game and I am running it in the editor while recording.
@@WeponzTV running it in the editor makes much more sense now to me. I thought this is already a compiled version of the game
@@WeponzTV try turning off motion blur, looks way better if fps is low
You should go for a less realistic art style, It will remind people of The Day before which people think is a scam.
What do you mean by less realistic art style?
@@WeponzTV I think what they meant was to pick up a more stylized visual through filters and different effects than having the more normal realistic look of UE5 so it stand out more when compared to other games
Good day! It's me again. we havent talked in a while, and I just want to talk to you about samp, can we talk thru discord?
