I know people who live in this area and keep cattle. It's pretty upsetting to witness from outside.

This is heart-rending. Life simply is a struggle. There are always issues and sometimes we wonder what to do next. These poor farmers are at that point. I am American but I hear the same refrain from every video regardless of country...why isn't government more responsive? Do they tax us enough? Where does the money go? Etc.Etc.Etc. It was positive to be shown a caring physician. My husband was very involved in his patients and their problems and took them to heart. So much for cold doctors.

This is a year and a half ago. Nothing has f**king changed. I'm from Orange and we have a house that cost us a $460k loan. We are running out fast. Everything is dead, dams are empty.
What disgusts me the most is when we travel and see people with "water rights" Irrigating and watering grass, the government sitting there and saying it'll rain and the fact that businesses are taking advantage of us with this drought relief scandal that they tried. I'm scared that Orange will have to be evacuated and that we're going to be left homeless as we lose our jobs, home and get stuck with a loan.
Government needs to invest big into a state wide reliable infrastructure. Government never did anything reliable and properly. Can't even do the internet right. Won't do water properly and now they're being slack with firefighting support.
I can go on but I believe anyone who reads this already knows what would be listed....
Now with the fires, I fear for more than my own wallet. With all this money that will be lost, these liberals better quit their bullshitery with holidays and giving money to churches because we're going to need it.

Notice how the word 'fine' is used by the weather reporters for days that have no rain. No rain at the moment means severe drought and the word used is 'fine'! The word should be 'devastating'. As in, "Today, the weather is devastating once again across the country. Hazy skies that are the wrong colour due to SRM will obliterate the chance of any rain cloud forming let alone dropping any rain." That's how the reports should go.

They have been there for 18 months so will soon be worthless due to deterioration. We have had (so far) a very mild winter in New Zealand and there are similar stocks of baleage and hay that are unlikely to be required here before Spring. So who has the foresight to move this resource to where it is so desperately need in OZ?

This is a very sad story, people doing it tough. I did hear that farmers must plant more trees so that clouds of rain will gather over them.

The animals and the plant life will perish. No water, no life. BTW, planting more trees won't bring back the rain. The rain is being stopped by technological means so that the farmers will go broke and then large corporations will buy up those farms for pennies on the pound.

Raytheon does the weather modelling that sends the weather news and predictions out to our TVs and radios. Raytheon is owned by the Rothschilds, the banking dynasty family. Considering the weather is now controlled by technological means, Raytheon can tell us what they want, which is a disguised prescription of the weather, pretending it is a consequence of 'global warming'. Global warming is happening but weather control is about the stealing of resources by the stopping of rain.

It's a novel idea and can be implemented effectively in some circumstances, but it goes deeper than just a need for rain.
In large scale farms theres mostly a reliance on industrial-ag companies now.
that commonplace reliance is not only an increasing cost for the farmer, but also destroys the land by killing the microbiology/structure within the soil itself. this, along with overgrazing usually, means limited or often no ability to store whatever meagre water one gets - something that australia's delicate ecosystem had evolved to do prior to european settlement/farming methods desertified large swathes of land on the continent. aboriginals understand this on a deep level(hence the 70,000+ years of continued existence).
the culture of bad land management speeds up desertification by killing ground cover and compacting soil, which also means flash flooding increases. this is why whenever there is rain, it effectively disappears (relative to what the farmer would observe).
this leads to a myriad of things such as top soil run off, salinity issues, blue algae issues(look at the murray darling and liverpool plains for prime instances of this), etc etc.
Cooma Greater Region for example used to be bright green - now its mostly barren and brown. this isnt a random occurence.
yes farmers do it tough, no doubt. they deserve respect and ought to be valued by the otherwise disconnected australian populace.
and yes, there is less and less rain which is out of their control, but it isn't due to a lack of empathy or understanding to say whats written above^
yet a prevailing culture within australian farming means often turning a blind eye to their own practices as purveyors of the land.
there are ways to combat/develop serious resilience and in some cases completely drought-proof properties too, and it doesnt start with seeding clouds to rain, it starts with mindset.

I thought it was interesting how it was mentioned in the doc, that the town once had six butchers in one town, and now theres none. Society has recognize thats half the problem. We have to stop eating meat every day. With the land and energy it takes to raise cattle,we could be using it in much more sustainable ways. Fast food, drive throughs with cheap hamburgers is the American way and made them very rich. It has to stop.I have much empathy for the farmers, they are clever resourcful people and have to figure out something else to do with there land,or get into another business,as hard as it will be.

Wouldn’t the best path to a solution be investment in a lot of big coastal desalination plants and good
irrigation, guided by Peter Andrews’ method?
And for that you need reliable power generation. Not misanthropic Green alarmist destruction. Either coal or nuclear. Not bloody windmills.
And for the bush fires, proper forest management and hazard reduction.
    Not barking mad “rewilding”.

It appears that we humans are responsible for this:
    260. Due to the nature of the geography of the planet, the land, the mountains, the forests, oceans and inland waters, the movements only happen gradually, however, unstoppably, for which the unstoppable and irrational and increasingly excessive overpopulation and its irresponsible destruction machinations and elimination machinations will be around 85% of the cause.

Everybody should be going to church and praying to God to have mercy on them. Of course people are going to break down without God's strength to uphold them. Why is there drought or flood or hurricane? Because people are enduring under their own strength instead of relying on God and acknowledging Him as the Source of all that is good and right. Are these people God-loving? Who knows. These documentaries don't go into that aspect. I think we are forgetting about God's sovereignty in all things on earth. We have left Him out of the picture too long so now He is waiting for us to come back to Him in earnest. God has left us to our own devices.
