Something I forgot to mention during this video (the joys of doing it unscripted): Billy and Mandy actually has official DVD releases, but it's only of the first two seasons and they are just as rare as Cow and Chicken and I Am Weasel DVDs, although thankfully not as expensive. They are still vastly overpriced, the last S1 DVD I saw went for about $70-80, so it's still pretty bad. It was legit cheaper to get a bootleg...
The real physical media releases you have: - Johnny Bravo (only Season 1) - Ed, Edd, n Eddy - Dexter's Laboratory - Powerpuff Girls (new boxset) - Courage the Cowardly Dog - Codename: Kids Next Door (only a compilation release) - Mike, Lu and Og, Time Squad, and Sheep in the Big City (promotional releases only) Bootlegs: - Cow and Chicken - I am Weasel! - Whatever Happened to Robot Jones? (I've never heard of it) - The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy - Evil Con Carne That unicorn head is so funny! 😂
the reason why dexter laboratory is completed version then ed, edd and eddy version because the dexter laboratory complete series is just redux version from the australian version of the complete series by mad man entertainment whom just there right to license to produce cartoon network content on dvd
Does the Australian version of Dexter include the Ego Trip movie? I would've assumed it was just copying the Eds and just echoing what is/was on Max...
Have you ever thought about reviewing those CN 2007(ish) PC Games with bonus episodes releases, same with the Toon Foolery DVD releases? Great to see what's good and not so good with each release. Looks like the KND DVD is better than the sample DVD which I have, which contains I would say a poor selection of Season 5 episodes.
The only time I've ever reviewed PC games was in episode 3 of GT. I had thoughts afterwards that this video idea could've worked as the finale to Video Memories, and I probably could've done the Toon Foolery DVDs as well. Like I said at the end of this video, there's no clear limit to how far this collection can go...
Quite an impressive collection, my guy! Even though I didn't watch Cartoon Network growing up (I know, I don't know if I can look at myself in the mirror either), I'm still quite familiar with a good number of these shows. The only ones I don't recall at all were Whatever Happened to Robot Jones? (which I'm guessing is one of those more obscure CN shows from back in the day) and Evil Con Carne.
@@MikeNicholsonThomas You didn't watch CN? You disgust me 🤣 Yeah, Robot Jones is probably the most obscure show here. It had 12 or 13 episodes over two very short seasons and then it was gone. I don't even remember knowing about the show until maybe a decade ago and I never watched it until I got the DVD seen here. As good as it is, it's not the most eye-catching show on the shelf, so we can't really blame anyone who passed on it...
@@Gondarth Hey, just because I didn't watch CN growing up, doesn't mean I don't like these shows. I still remember watching your recordings on Recordable Fridays in 2017, and I rediscovered a couple of favorites, including Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, and of course, Ed Edd n Eddy (that one's my fave CN show as well!)
Awesome video and collection. It's a wonder we're still getting DVD releases at all, Dexter has been a long time coming! Hopefully the rest will get an official release soon.
I'm just thankful they reprinted the PPG set. I was so tempted to get that 10th anniversary set, but those double-sided discs were serious dealbreakers for me...
£200 for a shitty item? What a deal! 🤣 Yeah, the PPG set was pretty much the driving force behind this entire collection so I'm super thankful on how well it turned out. Single discs and at a more than fair price. I think it actually got discounted 10 bucks or so a week before release on Amazon...
Nice collection I'm hoping to find more cartoon network cartoons in my collection I mean I found a bootleg of the 70s spiderman live action show there so anything possible And hopefully cartoon network releases more stuff on dvd, I mean dexter got completed Why not Cow and chicken. And Billy and mandy and others I've been waiting for a set of chowder and flapjack for a while
Sweet. There's a lot on offer. It's all a matter of finding what works for you. Cow and Chicken and Billy and Mandy have official DVD releases but I would absolutely not recommend going for them. Not at those prices...
Great collection! :D Hoping to get myself that PowerPuff Girls collection soon, was gonna comment about the PC/DVD Cartoon Network releases but I see someone else commented about them. Would you bother with UK releases if they were ever to come? Even though I have the complete(ish) Eds and Complete fosters I would still buy a UK release.
If they released a Complete Series set in the UK? If I don't have a Complete set? Yes. If I do have one? Maybe. It depends on price and if it's better than the American one. One thing I'm really not fond of is how all the Complete sets are region-locked...
Hi gondarth I have a question In recent events of spongebob and star wars fans hatewatching productions, ironically giving them the attention instead of letting go and not having any nuaced takes Do you think its possible to separate the art from the fanbase I do think its a possibility, however i can't separate the fanbase from spongebob or star wars since alot of them are reviewbombing and cherrypicking faults instead of making nauced takes Making the fanbases or spongebob and star wars Impossible to separate And it sucks since i loved spongebob
Yeah, I figure it can be done with strong enough willpower and determination. You'd have to be willing to accept the risks of discussing the product online. If you keep the discussion between friends and people you trust, you should be good to go.
Hello again I've recently rewatched some episodes of spongebob and The show held up much better My issue is that I've let the toxic fanbase clout my judgement instead of seeing a piece of media on it's own That's a bad habit I had since I first came to TH-cam Its time for me to better myself and not let toxic fanvoys clout my judgement
