I've had the Tab A for 2 years now. Excellent tablet and I feel the best value proposition currently on the market. I never use the camera or play any games on it so I can't speak to that. However, it is excellent for watching videos on TH-cam, Netflix, Hulu etc., which is what I use it for.

I've plugged a wireless receiver into the i/o socket to connect a mouse if I need it and a bluetooth keyboard works fine - unlike the Lenevo which somehow would often garble the input. Battery life seems good. In short I'm very pleased with it
Very good wireless network performance, especially on the new 5GHz band! I replaced the camera app with a full open source camera app and it shoots full 1080p on both front & back cameras. Metering and image quality is noticeably better! There is a Moku protective case for this tablet and it makes it easier to grip this slightly heavy tablet and fully protects the screen. My tablet has taken some serious tumbles on to cement and suffered no damage at all! Highly recommend this case for this tablet. You can get it at Amazon. Screen is topflight, sharp as a tack! In fact, a poor resolution TH-cam video is extremely noticeable! You want to play the good stuff on this! Great tablet and this video confirms that it using 802.11ac on the 5 GHz band which is why it is so ridiculously fast loading things!
This is a great tablet.I got it in 2016 (S pen version) and still use it for drawing/animation. You can get it cheap now for $200 compared to the latest Samsung tablets or even the iPad pro

Good review but it actually has 3 Gb RAM, not 2 as you state. It also has a feature called Flow that syncs the screen with an Android phone so you can text and get real time notifications right on the tablet. It also allows sharing videos and pics between the devices without the need for Wifi or wired connection.
You're right about Flow, but my tab only has 2GB ram. There's many different models of this tablet, I have the T580 in Australia and it definitely has 2GB Ram just saying.
@@Lukas75 Well I ended up buying the Galaxy S4. Verizon has a Valentine's Day special this week and discounted it $200 for the 64Gb version. It was $550 including mobile data service. Will let you know my thoughts after a couple weeks of use. I can say though Samsung Flow is a very cool feature. I copied over hundreds of pictures and videos from my S9+ phone in a matter of seconds. It also charges much quicker than my bricked S3. I also like the screen dimension better than the S3 for viewing Netflix and Amazon videos. So far so good.
Thanks for reviewing this product, not everyone can afford the latest and greatest tablets so it's nice to see reviews that assess older products and if it can still hold up! I was wondering if this tablet is able to stream Netflix in HD? There are certain android models that can only play HD Netflix and this might be a deciding factor on whether or not I will consider buying this. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback, and yes this tablet will be able to handle Netflix at 1080p no problem. A lot of older tablets cannot handle 1080p youtube, twitch or netflix due to a slower processor or less RAM (many cheap tablets come with only 1GB) but this tablet with its 2GB RAM and Octa-Core processor have no problem playing back online media at 1080p, as well as 60fps.
Jahmu seppälä Yeah I think it is still worth it, but if you can spend a little more maybe consider the Tab S, it has more performance and the S Pen but costs a bit more.
Just got this for Christmas and watching to try to figure out how to use it! lol. I'm used to my Kindle Fire, and at this point I am still using my Kindle. I love having the Prime movies and music and audible books. However, I will listen to most of my audiobooks that I can on my PC on TH-cam, so was hoping to be able to have the this device play the TH-cam in the background and also be able to work puzzles like I do online on my PC. I am disabled and spend a great deal of my time in bed, so that is why I think my husband decided on this device for me. I was wanting a laptop or tablet. Not so sure that he might have gotten a laptop for the $200 he dropped for this tablet. IDK....court is still out.

The iroller works great for cleaning screen. U can use over and over again. When it starts not cleaning just rinse it in water and dry. Works like new again

The camera is nothing amazing (your android phone probably has a better camera) but for all the other uses you mentioned this tablet would be great for. Just keep in mind that this tab is a 2016 model so performance in apps such as games may not be ideal but it's great for what I use it for which is basically just TH-cam and Twitch.
I just bought this tablet for my kids. My oldest is 8 and he is getting into games so I bought him a cheap tablet on Black Friday and saw the reviews and returned it. What made me buy this tablet was it being samsung and the battery life. I bought two for both boys with a warranty and will be getting cases with it. I was playing the games he likes on it and it did so well better then the 40 dollor one. And it ran video so well I am now going to go buy myself one. I didn't test the cameras because my son doesn't care about the camera as long as he can play his games on it and watch movies that all he cares about. But that screen is amazing. Well amazing for the price.
I had a look at this today in London and it isn’t bad at all but the price while ok isn’t a steal considering that software should update. This is where Android falls down badly.
Most android devices are supported for 2 years after release, and since the tablet I reviewed is a 2016 model it is passed its update release window. It's simply something to consider when choosing an android tablet. There are other update options after the 2 year support period such as third party operating systems like LineageOS which can still provide updates for years after.
Lukas75 thank you for replying. I was close to buying this as I’m sure it would be a good introduction but I’ll stick my I pad mini and confident in the knowledge that the updates are regular and immediate. If android are to move forward they need to get their act together. Once again thanks.
@@bar10ml44 No worries thanks for your comment. If you're gonna wait for Android to "get their act together" it won't work that way. Take Samsung for example. I have a Galaxy S8 which is getting close to being 2 years old, so soon it wont be getting updates and I cant blame Samsung for that because it will cost them too much to keep supporting every old phone. Apple does well to keep its older devices up to date but remember they have made about 20 different phones over the years, Samsung has made hundreds of models.
Mine didn't include ear buds. 😔 I had the 8 inch Tab A which I was totally happy with but it developed some charging problems after two years. I was just going to replace it but the 10 inch was on sale so I bought it. Aside from a couple minor differences (it is significantly heavier). I'm happy. It's a good tablet for the price.
Aaron Annecharico I think it's heavier because of the larger battery (7200mah) and also models will differ between countries it seems. Apparently you can get a Tab A with stylus but I've never seen it in Australia.

Yes it's possible but it has to be an xbox one controller that has bluetooth which all new xbox one controllers come with (such as with the S and X consoles) they should pair pretty painlessly by holding the sync button on the top of the xbox controller and using bluetooth on your phone to connect. If your phone doesn't find any devices you may be using an older xbox one controller.
@@Lukas75 Thanks a lot for your reply, I think you just solved it for me. I am using a Xbox one elite pad and just assumed it was bluetooth, but having checked it appears it isn't :(. At least i know its not a problem with the tablet and i'll get a usb cable to try that instead.
I notice the the newer Galaxy Tab A 10.1 models do not have external home, back and recent buttons. The newer models are touch screen. Does this create a problem, with the external buttons ? I believe my model, just purchased is a couple years old. But I purchased it at a good price at 179.00 US $$ at Costco's
Although I keep an Amazon Fire 10.1 HD gen 7 tablet on hand, I also have a Samsung 10.1 tablet. Just dropped in a new battery this week. The SAMSUNG has a superior screen. The potential brightness, colors and the resolution combined with a pretty nice contrast ratio makes this a great pad for streaming movies and the Logic board has enough horsepower to run so fairly powerful applications. The battery trouble was merely a glitch. A 15 minute, $30.00 fix if you are good with delicate electronics. I have watched Samsung products over the past few decades. They are putting out some great stuff these days. I agree with you that this is the best Android driven tablet. Don't drop it on a concrete floor and it will serve you for years. The touch screen is tricky to repair. I don't really use the S-Pen. But it is a powerful tool if you are a sketch artist. Real nice review. Thanks Lukas75

I like 5.1.1 It runs a couple of apps that I use. This tablet seems to want to run forever. Screen still as bright as when new.
Hello. I need help or advise. I recently bought this tablet with 16GB and I also bought a 128GB micro SD to make more space for storage. However, it is not working. I set up some of my apps to be saved on my SD card including Amazon Kindle but still after downloading some of my books, the tablet is asking me to delete some files or apps to make room which I ended up doing. I only now have Netflix, one game app, and Amazon Kindle on my tablet. My question is, how can I put back all the apps I deleted and still have room for my books? I would think with 128GB SD card, it should work...
Hi, as far as I know not all apps can be moved to an sd card, and even if they can be, data from those apps may still be taking up space on your internal storage. There used to be a trick that I used on an old android phone where you can make the device think that the sd card IS the internal storage and therefore you would be able to store all apps on an sd card but I'm not sure if that trick still works. I'll look into a solution and get back to you.

Hello, I have not tested a touch pen but I believe it should work although it won't have the same accuracy on this tablet as the screen is not as sophisticated as a Tab S model. A pen would work the same way your finger does.

Thanks for your question for my mic I use a Rode SmartLav+ and my camera is a Sony RX100 Mk3. I record the microphone to my phone in my pocket then sync up the voice audio in Premiere Pro with the camera audio.
Is your tablet the T580 model? If so, that model only has Wifi, not 4G connection so you won't have options for tethering or hotspotting. If your model is T585 then that means it has a sim card slot, that means you can tether devices to it if you have a sim installed. To find tether/hotspot options should be in Settings - Connections - Mobile Hotspot and Tethering, but only if you have a sim card in the T585 model. I hope this helps your problem!
Yes it is low but this is a 2016 model Tab A, and it all depends what you're using the tablet for. Me personally I only use it to watch TH-cam and Twitch so 2GB RAM is fine for me.

mourad belk Not a gamer so can't say. Tablets aren't really made for gaming for the most part though any tablet with an Nvidia GPU would be your best bet.
BTW...this review is NOT for the 2019 Tab A. Which I think is way better. I got the 128gb version with 3gb of ram on Cyber Monday for $199. An insane deal!
That's a great deal! And yes this is the 2016 model but I am still using it to watch TH-cam and Twitch with bluetooth headphones and it's a great experience.
Actually I wouldn't recommend this particular tablet for those uses, the Tab S line of tablets from Samsung would be better since they come with an S Pen (good for note taking) and will have better performance for the other uses you mentioned such as presentations.

I dont think so, it has only a micro USB port on the top. Although if you get a google chromecast you can cast your tablet screen to your TV wirelessly
Yes this tablet works with Word, it's not great when having many apps open at once though, you'll need a more powerful tab for that. Consider the Tab S if you want more performance.
There's couple things i would of changed..like lighted keys on home and back buttons,charging indicator to let cha know its charging and charged.speaker in front..Is it me or does this tablet taker forever to charge it,it can be at 20 or 30 % battery but it takes like over 5 hrs for a full charge..Other than that i love my tablet...

I want to purchase a tablet, this one is great value for money but do you think the 2gb ram is a problem? I'm not into gaming, only Web surfing and other sorts... Should I go for a tablet with larger ram?
More ram is definitely preferred, and if you can afford a better tablet with more ram go for it. The Tab A can feel a little slow sometimes although I would accredit this to it's CPU not the lack of ram.

Bene C Hi mate, for editing I would recommend the Tab S instead as it has better hardware, but it costs a little more too. The Tab A is more for watching vids and light gaming.
I bought one yesterday from Walmart Canada, but it didn't come with headphones! Lame. Overall though, I agree.. for the $$ this tablet is a good buy. Side by side with my wife's 2018 iPad it's tough to tell the difference when showing TH-cam Video...the display is that good.
@LeeRock 27 I wish it was a lie but it seriously isn't. Android tablets are simply not a better "use' experience. The apps are just not optimized for use on a tablet. Works great on a phone, like my OnePlus 6t but on a tablet? Its garbage.

I was kimda shocked to find out Apple iPad is more affordable than the Galaxy. Pretty amazing. I'm sick of Apple though for various reasons. What can you recommend for me?
Check out the Galaxy Note 10,1" tablet, especially older models like the 2014 model which sells 2nd hand pretty cheap. They come with a stylus but not sure if it's as good as the S Pen, you'll probably have to watch some review vids on that.

It's now crawling and keeps crashing. I'm pretty soured on Apple products. Totally appreciate your quick response. I'm a little bugged that Samsung is so expensive here with their new line. Grrrr... Also...have you had good experiences with their after sales service ? And customer service ?
I have not had much experience with Apple, I don't like the company as a whole so I don't buy their products. As for Samsung, I have not had to deal with customer or sale service. I have a Galaxy Note 3, an S8 and the Tab A which all still work perfectly. I have heard that Apple will scale down the performance of your device alongside the degradation of it's battery, so the longer you own an Apple device the slower it will get because Apple believes that having good battery life is more important than performance. Whether the Note 10.1" performs better than the iPad Mini I'm not sure, you'll have to check out other vids for that information but I hope I have been able to help! I know that current Samsung devices are quite pricy but I believe they are worth the money in the long run.
I was relatively new to making TH-cam videos when I made this video, I have made much progress since then. I never knew that so many people would watch my videos back then.
I have an Samsung tablet,mine is with A cover with support and it's cool! Mines black and it was 100 € so I can say it was a little bit expensive! Although the battery last A LOT. It's really compatible and cool although The cover from my charger Was broken D; although the charger still works :D
Hi lucas I have the same tablet T580 with 7.1 android OS. Does the oreo 8.1 update run smoothly on the tab or it lags? Actually, I am afraid its performance slows down after updating and hence It would be of no use again. Please advise
It seems to be the same performance after updating, havent noticed any difference. Although my use-case is mostly watching TH-cam and Twitch and that hasn't changed so perhaps gaming performance could have been affected?
@@michelshehata2010 Theres no noticeable difference after updating, seems the same to me. Maybe theres a little more lag but my device might be more clogged up with apps etc than yours.
its not made by apple so you dont need to w0rry about it slowing down when upgrading android......get with the times....that hasnt been an issue for android since android 4
I have one. is a great tablet and I use it for my mavic drone as a fpv and is a great big screen. as far TH-cam videos is good quality but is not crystal clear even at 1080 but is good for the price. but is till better than othera so I will keep it
the nexus 10 is better and is the tablet to beat its older sure but the specs are still better in most cases only thing it doesnt have is a micro sd slot
What's it like in 2019? I have an offer of either a free tab a 10.1, Amazon echo or a fitbit charge 3. I'm trying to figure out what's best to get but I obviously don't want an echo lol.
haha, bt broadband offer. I search this tablet cause of it as well. I say go for the tablet. Amazon Echo is always on sale, so the price drops. Go for Fitbit in you're into working a lot and tracking your calories. I am taking the Tablet!

@Clorox Tree Depends on what you're using the tablet for. The 2016 model is perfect if you're just looking for a Twitch, TH-cam, Netflix etc viewing device. Of course if you wanna play games the 2019 model will have better performance

I agree, why they didn't make it 1920x1080 baffles me. When watching 1080p content it just means you will get small black bars top and bottom, not too noticeable. Getting the black version of this tablet would be better, then you wouldn't notice the bars as much.

Yep I use this tablet solely for watching online video at 1080p and it's one of the best tablets for that!

Thanks for the feedback, and yes this tablet will be able to handle Netflix at 1080p no problem. A lot of older tablets cannot handle 1080p youtube, twitch or netflix due to a slower processor or less RAM (many cheap tablets come with only 1GB) but this tablet with its 2GB RAM and Octa-Core processor have no problem playing back online media at 1080p, as well as 60fps.
My tablet died and will not charge.

Just got this for Christmas and watching to try to figure out how to use it! lol. I'm used to my Kindle Fire, and at this point I am still using my Kindle. I love having the Prime movies and music and audible books. However, I will listen to most of my audiobooks that I can on my PC on TH-cam, so was hoping to be able to have the this device play the TH-cam in the background and also be able to work puzzles like I do online on my PC. I am disabled and spend a great deal of my time in bed, so that is why I think my husband decided on this device for me. I was wanting a laptop or tablet. Not so sure that he might have gotten a laptop for the $200 he dropped for this tablet. IDK....court is still out.

The iroller works great for cleaning screen. U can use over and over again. When it starts not cleaning just rinse it in water and dry. Works like new again

The camera is nothing amazing (your android phone probably has a better camera) but for all the other uses you mentioned this tablet would be great for. Just keep in mind that this tab is a 2016 model so performance in apps such as games may not be ideal but it's great for what I use it for which is basically just TH-cam and Twitch.

I just bought this tablet for my kids. My oldest is 8 and he is getting into games so I bought him a cheap tablet on Black Friday and saw the reviews and returned it. What made me buy this tablet was it being samsung and the battery life. I bought two for both boys with a warranty and will be getting cases with it. I was playing the games he likes on it and it did so well better then the 40 dollor one. And it ran video so well I am now going to go buy myself one. I didn't test the cameras because my son doesn't care about the camera as long as he can play his games on it and watch movies that all he cares about. But that screen is amazing. Well amazing for the price.
I had a look at this today in London and it isn’t bad at all but the price while ok isn’t a steal considering that software should update. This is where Android falls down badly.
Most android devices are supported for 2 years after release, and since the tablet I reviewed is a 2016 model it is passed its update release window. It's simply something to consider when choosing an android tablet.
There are other update options after the 2 year support period such as third party operating systems like LineageOS which can still provide updates for years after.
Lukas75 thank you for replying. I was close to buying this as I’m sure it would be a good introduction but I’ll stick my I pad mini and confident in the knowledge that the updates are regular and immediate. If android are to move forward they need to get their act together. Once again thanks.
@@bar10ml44 No worries thanks for your comment. If you're gonna wait for Android to "get their act together" it won't work that way. Take Samsung for example. I have a Galaxy S8 which is getting close to being 2 years old, so soon it wont be getting updates and I cant blame Samsung for that because it will cost them too much to keep supporting every old phone.
Apple does well to keep its older devices up to date but remember they have made about 20 different phones over the years, Samsung has made hundreds of models.
In the usa and south Korea this tabblet is still supported well and has gotten 4 android updates from 5.1.1 to 8.1.0
I bought a Tab A last year (2019) and have gotten an Android 10 update. Will probably get 11 when it comes out.
Mine didn't include ear buds. 😔 I had the 8 inch Tab A which I was totally happy with but it developed some charging problems after two years. I was just going to replace it but the 10 inch was on sale so I bought it. Aside from a couple minor differences (it is significantly heavier). I'm happy. It's a good tablet for the price.
Aaron Annecharico I think it's heavier because of the larger battery (7200mah) and also models will differ between countries it seems. Apparently you can get a Tab A with stylus but I've never seen it in Australia.

Is it possible to hook up a xbox one wireless bluetooth controller to this tablet? I am trying to, but the tablet isn't finding any devices...
Yes it's possible but it has to be an xbox one controller that has bluetooth which all new xbox one controllers come with (such as with the S and X consoles) they should pair pretty painlessly by holding the sync button on the top of the xbox controller and using bluetooth on your phone to connect. If your phone doesn't find any devices you may be using an older xbox one controller.
You could always use a micro USB cable to connect the controller to the tablet instead, just wont be wireless.
@@Lukas75 Thanks a lot for your reply, I think you just solved it for me. I am using a Xbox one elite pad and just assumed it was bluetooth, but having checked it appears it isn't :(. At least i know its not a problem with the tablet and i'll get a usb cable to try that instead.
I notice the the newer Galaxy Tab A 10.1 models do not have external home, back and recent buttons. The newer models are touch screen. Does this create a problem, with the external buttons ? I believe my model, just purchased is a couple years old. But I purchased it at a good price at 179.00 US $$ at Costco's
I dont see a problem with on-screen buttons, it's just a personal preference whether you prefer physical or digital buttons.

Although I keep an Amazon Fire 10.1 HD gen 7 tablet on hand, I also have a Samsung 10.1 tablet. Just dropped in a new battery this week. The SAMSUNG has a superior screen. The potential brightness, colors and the resolution combined with a pretty nice contrast ratio makes this a great pad for streaming movies and the Logic board has enough horsepower to run so fairly powerful applications. The battery trouble was merely a glitch. A 15 minute, $30.00 fix if you are good with delicate electronics. I have watched Samsung products over the past few decades. They are putting out some great stuff these days. I agree with you that this is the best Android driven tablet. Don't drop it on a concrete floor and it will serve you for years. The touch screen is tricky to repair. I don't really use the S-Pen. But it is a powerful tool if you are a sketch artist. Real nice review. Thanks Lukas75

@@STYSY.MANOBENE Regarding the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 model. Samsung tech support advised me to load 5.1.1 I am pretty sure it would function with Oreo but I would investigate further. I like 5.1.1 It runs a couple of apps that I use. This tablet seems to want to run forever. Screen still as bright as when new.

Hello. I need help or advise. I recently bought this tablet with 16GB and I also bought a 128GB micro SD to make more space for storage. However, it is not working. I set up some of my apps to be saved on my SD card including Amazon Kindle but still after downloading some of my books, the tablet is asking me to delete some files or apps to make room which I ended up doing. I only now have Netflix, one game app, and Amazon Kindle on my tablet. My question is, how can I put back all the apps I deleted and still have room for my books? I would think with 128GB SD card, it should work...
Hi, as far as I know not all apps can be moved to an sd card, and even if they can be, data from those apps may still be taking up space on your internal storage.
There used to be a trick that I used on an old android phone where you can make the device think that the sd card IS the internal storage and therefore you would be able to store all apps on an sd card but I'm not sure if that trick still works.
I'll look into a solution and get back to you.

Since it isn't compatible with the S-Pens and I want to use it to read an highlight pdfs for uni, I was wondering if using a normal touch pen that isn't connected to the tablet is working fine enough for highlighting. Hello, I have not tested a touch pen but I believe it should work although it won't have the same accuracy on this tablet as the screen is not as sophisticated as a Tab S model. A pen would work the same way your finger does.

Thanks for your question for my mic I use a Rode SmartLav+ and my camera is a Sony RX100 Mk3. I record the microphone to my phone in my pocket then sync up the voice audio in Premiere Pro with the camera audio.
Why can't i find 'tethering and portable hotspot' on settings? Can anybody help me?
Is your tablet the T580 model? If so, that model only has Wifi, not 4G connection so you won't have options for tethering or hotspotting. If your model is T585 then that means it has a sim card slot, that means you can tether devices to it if you have a sim installed.
To find tether/hotspot options should be in Settings - Connections - Mobile Hotspot and Tethering, but only if you have a sim card in the T585 model. I hope this helps your problem!

Yes you should be able to use those apps, you can still transfer files over Wifi.

Yes it is low but this is a 2016 model Tab A, and it all depends what you're using the tablet for. Me personally I only use it to watch TH-cam and Twitch so 2GB RAM is fine for me.

mourad belk Not a gamer so can't say. Tablets aren't really made for gaming for the most part though any tablet with an Nvidia GPU would be your best bet.

Actually I wouldn't recommend this particular tablet for those uses, the Tab S line of tablets from Samsung would be better since they come with an S Pen (good for note taking) and will have better performance for the other uses you mentioned such as presentations.

That's right, most sites say android 6 since those articles were written in 2016. The tablet will auto update to android 7.

I dont think so, it has only a micro USB port on the top. Although if you get a google chromecast you can cast your tablet screen to your TV wirelessly

Yes this tablet works with Word, it's not great when having many apps open at once though, you'll need a more powerful tab for that. Consider the Tab S if you want more performance.
There's couple things i would of changed..like lighted keys on home and back buttons,charging indicator to let cha know its charging and charged.speaker in front..Is it me or does this tablet taker forever to charge it,it can be at 20 or 30 % battery but it takes like over 5 hrs for a full charge..Other than that i love my tablet...

The hardware is not the fastest but if you're simply watching youtube, twitch, etc then this tab is great for that, it's what I use it for.

More ram is definitely preferred, and if you can afford a better tablet with more ram go for it. The Tab A can feel a little slow sometimes although I would accredit this to it's CPU not the lack of ram.

I bought one yesterday from Walmart Canada, but it didn't come with headphones! Lame. Overall though, I agree.. for the $$ this tablet is a good buy. Side by side with my wife's 2018 iPad it's tough to tell the difference when showing TH-cam Video...the display is that good.

Check out the Galaxy Note 10,1" tablet, especially older models like the 2014 model which sells 2nd hand pretty cheap. They come with a stylus but not sure if it's as good as the S Pen, you'll probably have to watch some review vids on that.

I have not had much experience with Apple, I don't like the company as a whole so I don't buy their products.
As for Samsung, I have not had to deal with customer or sale service. I have a Galaxy Note 3, an S8 and the Tab A which all still work perfectly.
I have heard that Apple will scale down the performance of your device alongside the degradation of it's battery, so the longer you own an Apple device the slower it will get because Apple believes that having good battery life is more important than performance.
Whether the Note 10.1" performs better than the iPad Mini I'm not sure, you'll have to check out other vids for that information but I hope I have been able to help! I know that current Samsung devices are quite pricy but I believe they are worth the money in the long run.

I have the same tablet T580 with 7.1 android OS. Does the oreo 8.1 update run smoothly on the tab or it lags? Actually, I am afraid its performance slows down after updating and hence It would be of no use again. Please advise
It seems to be the same performance after updating, havent noticed any difference. Although my use-case is mostly watching TH-cam and Twitch and that hasn't changed so perhaps gaming performance could have been affected?
@@Lukas75 I don't game actually, my main usage is browsing via Chrome, TH-cam, Kindle & You version. Did you notice any lags while browsing?
@@michelshehata2010 Theres no noticeable difference after updating, seems the same to me. Maybe theres a little more lag but my device might be more clogged up with apps etc than yours.

its not made by apple so you dont need to w0rry about it slowing down when upgrading android......get with the times....that hasnt been an issue for android since android 4

I have one. is a great tablet and I use it for my mavic drone as a fpv and is a great big screen. as far TH-cam videos is good quality but is not crystal clear even at 1080 but is good for the price. but is till better than othera so I will keep it
the nexus 10 is better and is the tablet to beat its older sure but the specs are still better in most cases
only thing it doesnt have is a micro sd slot
What's it like in 2019? I have an offer of either a free tab a 10.1, Amazon echo or a fitbit charge 3. I'm trying to figure out what's best to get but I obviously don't want an echo lol.
haha, bt broadband offer. I search this tablet cause of it as well. I say go for the tablet. Amazon Echo is always on sale, so the price drops. Go for Fitbit in you're into working a lot and tracking your calories. I am taking the Tablet!

@Clorox Tree Depends on what you're using the tablet for. The 2016 model is perfect if you're just looking for a Twitch, TH-cam, Netflix etc viewing device. Of course if you wanna play games the 2019 model will have better performance

It's the 2016 model, no S pen. I'm in Australia so this may differ from models overseas.

No the Tab A 7.0 has a 7inch screen hence the name, whereas this tablet has a 10inch screen.

A 10.1" portrait tablet is a dumb idea, when nearly all content is designed for widescreen displays.
I agree, why they didn't make it 1920x1080 baffles me. When watching 1080p content it just means you will get small black bars top and bottom, not too noticeable. Getting the black version of this tablet would be better, then you wouldn't notice the bars as much.
I aggree, but it's already much better than the usual 4:3 ratio! Nice video btw :)
