Mine as well. I used to drive an 18 wheeler, over that very draw bridge in the opening scene once, in fact, kind of a religious experience of sorts... lol! C'mon, man, big trucks, Emilio, Pat Hingle. "The Road Twitch" AND a soundtrack loaded with AC/DC, you can not go wrong!Thank you for your reply my friend. Again, excellent work on this!
Also, at 6:00, interesting they showed the "dead" woman on the bridge who went through the windshield of the Chevette. That part bothered me. Never made sense to me how the car wasn't really going down the embankment of the bridge fast enough for her to go through the windshield, even without a seatbelt. Then, how did she get all the way to the pavement in this BTS photo? Did she even die or was she unconscious? These producers didn't plan that part of the bridge scene right.
+Kikujirosan they actually remote control to make the trucks move. the funny thing is that during production the trucks keep on breaking down and once one truck got repaired another breaks down.
+Mayala285 I'm surprised they haven't remade this. I know they did a TV movie closer to the book, but we need a big screen remake. it would be easier to do the truck scenes, just have drivers wear green suits, then take them out with CG. thanks again.
Kikujirosan well i would love a sequel since hollywood is going down the shitter sometimes and then coming back up to show us something "new" but hopefully it can be good possibly.
@@deangates1 Thank you for the info. Did you work on the production crew or just know who was who? I was fascinated with the BTS of the movie. Loved the locations where they filmed and the mid 80s was the perfect time to film it.
hi everybody thank you so much for your support on the video but sadly i want to avoid a strike on my channel so i have no choice but to mute the audio but luckily tribute video is still around with the song still on it. Sadly I dont think any deleted scene is gonna surface. Stephen king stated that he sadly doesnt have any deleted scenes in his possession. Pretty much as of this moment the footage is lost
“Who Made Who” would have been great in the background of this but still a great video! Love Maximum Overdrive!
yeah, i had blonde redhead - spring by summerfall. then i took it out, also thanks
6:36 looks like a deleted scene! The rusty tow truck never crashed through the sign in the final cut.
yeah same here
www.happytoyz.com/scene09.htm Link to the original script which shows that scene being WAAAY different from what happened in the final cut.
Buick Bub
I was just about to post that, that is weird, wonder if there was any deleted scenes like that
if would have been cool if it followed them to the Dixie boy
Very nice work my friend. Good or bad, one of my favorite films.. Thumbs up to you!
thanks, its one of my favorite guilty pleasures :)

Andy Tichenor nice :D
ty for making the video, those were some cool pictures
These are some great photos you got! Too bad you had to mute the audio though.
Thanks man
One of my favorites yet
Other than it this movie this one stands out the most if your a damn Motörhead like I am

how would you know if its unrealistic or not?
nice video, I wish somebody would have made a behind the scenes video to show how they did the driverless truck scenes.

I doubt. Only one Maximum Overdrive... sadly.
If you watch really really close, you can see a dark image of a driver in a supposedly "driverless" truck. Mainly the "Bic" truck..
7:00 this machine just called me an asshole 😂😂😂
I'm trying to figure out what the picture at 3:07 is. All I have found on the internet is "Scouting on the road". Who is that lady in white?
Chris Max as far as I know probably part of the production crew.
Hey Chris, The lady in white is Marilyn Stonehouse. She was the production manager on Maximum Overdrive.

@@chris4195 Dean Gates did the makeup effects for the film.
I wonder if the goblin face was saved and restored. I noticed in one pick it’s jaw has broken.
That one is one of the spare heads. It currently just sits in north Carolina. The owner doesnt want sell it or restore it. So its just rotting
@@Mayala285 It’s a dame shame. This movie is almost or is a cult film.
Tim Shockey owns one of the heads, he restored it himself and takes it to Comic Cons and other places
Wilmington a "sterotypical 'hamlet''? Screw that newspaper article.
Who recons this is the prop used in the trailer?
Nice (slideshow) & liek
+PikaDika thank you :D
