Why "Gay"?
I found my own meaning of the video, the first character represents addiction that's why she has cigarettes and sweet food around her, second character represents lust and sexuality which he keeps a secret that's why he's also "in the dark" third character represents depression and she covers her face with things to try hide it and the fourth character represents greed and clout chasing. They get a glimpse of freedom but can't escape their own prison the walls are invisible because it's all in their head.

I haven’t read anyone talk about the proposed meaning of the video beyond the video game aspect. It starts and they are all introduced and clearly different from one another. They represent different roles but are met by the ultimate. When they meat the uptime truth they all react different but it doesn’t matter. Also to add everything is out of order and place with the choppy edits of them wearing close and a second later not wearing is to give you the feeling off no order
