Art is for anyone who wants it. You can look at Raging Bull and enjoy it for the B&W aesthetic (only you can call it "the look"), or you can have a long studied analysis of it. Whatever brings you to art and whatever you take away from it is the answer. There's no right answer. There's what you get from it. It's interesting when you're curious to see what someone else got out of it, but art is for all humans, no matter what their background. Art is for the entire person, not just the brain, not just the nerves, not just the senses. That's how I see art.
Btw, don't be surprised if your channel starts to grow exponentially. I've noticed it didn't take as long for you to go from 10k to 20k as it did from 5k to 10k (like half as long, right?). Of course your depth keeps the hoi polloi at a distance, but your style of extemporaneous film analysis is still TH-cam's best kept secret. (I still think you should start a Patreon so you can start making videos from exotic remote locales that might give you inspiration on other projects. I'm sure I speak for other fans who'd love to help make something like that happen)

I watched the movie with my brother, and we discussed it afterward for maybe another hour. Then, I told him "there is a girl I watch on TH-cam with some great reviews, lets go and see what is her take on it". We ended up discussing your video for about 15- 20 minutes lol. It's funny, that one guy mentioning first seeing your review of Donnie Darko, and went down the lens hole. That's the first review of yours I did see, and I've watched a lot of your reviews from that point on. I have a grade IV glioblstoma, which I found out about in February of this year. Currently, I've got about six to eight months to live of the 12-14 months they initially gave me. I thought maybe you could do a reoccurring segment and call it something cheesy, like "Last Request", in which you review a request from several viewers at a time, someone who is terminally ill, like me. Yeah, I know. It sounds like I'm playing the "cancer card", but I'm not. There have to be other viewers out there who also have an estimated half a year or so left to live. It would feel like a closure and my awesome experience with your channel, and others, I'm sure. Of course, we should have to provide proof. Anyone can say, "Oh no! I'm dying!" of laughter, off-screen. I would gladly send screen caps of my diagnosis, and all that fun stuff. If this is something that sounds like it would be your thing, I would perfectly understand. I'm putting you on the spot, and for that, I apologize. I didn't see a way to contact you on Twitter. I know that if you decided you wanted to do this, that you would give honest reviews, and not catering to the requester. In the vast bubbling cauldron of TH-cam, your ability to not feel the need to owe anyone anything is a strong mast to put a sail on. As a commenter my questions/remarks tend to be numerous, but it's in a casual mode that's possible here because it's a dialogue between equals. We all have our egos and insecurities but to have things eye level here is to stay human.

I consider myself fortunate to have discovered your channel when I did, there's no way I would have subscribed to the 2009 you. Absolutely correct about "The Wolf of Wall Street" being the modern day equivalent of "Scarface" as far as attracting a lot of people who see the protagonist as some role model. I used to check threads on Imdb every now and then to see what "people" derived from it. Quite a few wrote stuff like:"This movie is an inspiration to me." or "This movie makes me want to do something with my life." Anyways, this is sadly nothing new. Apparently some teens who saw A Clockwork Orange back in 1971 believed the film portrayed Alex as somebody admirable and "free-spirited", so they went out and assaulted people for "fun". It even went so far Kubrick had to pull the film from British cinemas. I get a first impression about people from what kind of films they like. One can learn a great deal about them in fact from browsing through their collection of films. There is a saying:"Tell me who you love and I'll tell you who you are." Well, I'll paraphrase that and say:"Tell me what films you love and I'll tell you who you are." This brings me back to the beginning. I stumbled across your reviews and thought:"Interesting".
Review the last american virgin (1982) it might be hard for a woman to see that film without getting triggered but its pure gold and its pure truth and to anyone in the comments who has not seen that film i highly recommend streaming it asap

I can't help but feel that he has some very sick friends with a lot of money to fund his movies.
