I agree that the 2024 DnD looks like a mostly-improved version. With the small parts that I am less inclined towards (Hunter's Mark being concentration) possible to either homebrew or to discuss with DMs/other players how they want to run it in a way that can be enjoyed by all.
I wish I could be excited for D&D. Played a TON back in the 3//3.5e era. (4 sucked, played 5 for a year or two and thought it was okay) Unfortunately, with all the stuff Hasbro and WotC have been up to recently, I can't in good conscience support any of their products. Their "shennanigans" also ended my 20+ year relationship with Magic: The Gathering. I've moved over to Pathfinder, 2e which I'm genuinely enjoying far more than I ever did 5e D&D.

Yeah, the parts I dislike I can count on one hand while the stuff they've fixed is a number I've since lost track of. It's a big win, IMO!

It's fair! I'll never fault someone for doing their own thing, but I'm loving DND and am very excited for the revamp haha.
