i like the concept of this deck but every single one of your replays features you opening Fiendsmith + Combo, when that sometimes just doesn't happen. Now that we know we aren't getting Moon of the Closed Sky there isn't a bridge to Fiendsmith in every archetype. So when you open a hand like Gazelle, Cornfield, Mirrorsword, Ash, Imperm you'll do typical Chimera combo but that is so lack luster at this point in the meta, I don't think this is competitively viable without the new Link-2
The main reason to play fiendsmith in this deck is to have a 6 cards engine to extend your combo if it gets stopped, or an alternate way to start the combo if you dont see chimera engine (fiendsmith by its own or spell plus normal summon anything is berformet plus beatrix wich is access to mirrorswordknight) So its a convistency + resilience boost, no need to access it via moon of the Closed sky
Went 4-0 w/chimera branded at highly competitive locals on the weekend. Diabelze is broken chimera lines alone can carry there’s a lot you can do just gotta spend more time with the deck.
First, you can access it, by sending "Fiendsmith Engraver" from the deck with Berfomet. You can also use "Magnum the Reliever" as material for the Link1. So the hand you described would also get you Fiendsmith access.
