      Yeah this dexter dude's a Madlib slash Dilla bitter extraordinaire. Good music, but at times I'm like "where's your originality"?

      shaolintiger1 So he's a biter because of his heavy sample use and because he has an instrumental concept album? I regard the latter as creative, who cares if Madlib did that too (the number of HipHop producers who managed to release a solid concept album is less than 5 probably). In what way are you missing originality when Dexter is exploiting his own crates, coming up with something which is, in its entirety, totally different from what Madlib ever did?
      If you label this guy uncreative/plagiarizing, then you shouldn't listen to this sort of HipHop, as then, 80% of the so called "underground" scene is nothing more than copycats.
