THROUGH FAITH AND PATIENCE!
"We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised." (Hebrews 6:12)
Faith and patience are two inevitable spiritual virtues necessary for inheriting the promises of God. The function of faith is to enable us to hold on firmly to God and to his word. Patience on the other hand, helps us to be calm and keep our confidence alive that God will perform his word in a good time of his own choosing.
Christians do not imitate people merely because of their achievements. It is those who inherit God's promise through faith and patience that we are to emulate. We are also to exercise ourselves in faith and patience to obtain the promises of God for our lives. Faith says "God can do it!" Patience says "God will do it in his own time!"
PRAYER
Dear Lord and Father of mankind please help us to trust that you will perform your word in our lives but at your own time in Jesus' name. Amen!
