As a South African hearing the way he said shongololo I was in tears 😭😭😭😹😹😹
I KNOW 😭
Same 🤣🤣😂
YEA 😂😂😂😂
Yes 😢
When someone says shongololo I immediately think of the smell of them, and lots of them just at the bottom of my swimming pool lol
I love watching his little legs go in waves. It's actually pretty cute. Millipedes are awesome, but i'll admit im not a fan of their cousin the centipede.
The Hate Personified please, just stop being a petty troll.
Agreed with the cute wave motion ~~~~
I KNOW THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO0OOO CUTEEE! IDK how...
same omg
I suppose if bugs with a lot of legs creep you out I can see why you'd say that, but lots of legs don't bug me. (pun intended) The reason i'm kind of scared of centipedes is because of those pincers up front. Millipedes to me just look like elongated pill bugs.
Growing up in South Africa, I played with loads of shongololo's. Quite cool creatures.
Damn, just realized how wrong that sounds.
you shouldn't play with their loads...eish
I like shongologlolologogololgoLOLogolo!
They are harmless and make nice pets
I like that you have proper grammar
Kronos Rogers Apart from the needless apostrophe, a common mistake, the grammar is better than most native English folks’. I had a South African learning support staff member and South African RE/Science teacher. I guess it’s because non-native speakers need to learn the rules, so things like learning German can help a native English speaker with their own language, both having the same/similar linguistic rules.
I live in south africa and i've seen alot of shongololos. People say they're a sign of rain coming. Here rain isn't a lot so they don't come out a lot any more. They are also called a thousand foot in Afrikaans (my home language) I wish I could have met him. I also notice the things he find here I already saw
millipede actually means thousand foot
I really wanted to trek down to the eastern cape from here in Joburg when he came but they were not doing any public events. I hope the BW team make it back someday, there's so much more to our beautiful country for them to explore.
It feels weird cause I feel like the only South African on TH-cam, so when I see South Africans, I feel so cool. Where are you from in SA. I’m from Joburg
Waar bly jy (watse provinsie)?
*I bless the rains down in Africa*
adrian gonna take some time to do the things we never had
adrian u bless nothing just because it's Africa does not mean rain is rare😑🖕
it's lyrics of a song lol.
Ace Yaseen10 are you afrocan
Ace Yaseen10 yeah but some parts are in dire need of water like the cape for instants
I was never really that much into nature till I came across your videos. Awesome stuff man. Now I’m completely hooked on learning about the many things nature has to offer. Keep up this amazing work Coyote & keep inspiring!
u can watch nat geo wild
Or watch animal planet
Vince Medija yeah I like both National Geographic & Animal Planet but the kind of passion that Coyote Peterson brings to the table in all his unique videos is what gets me hooked
Bricc Flair true
lool
All those legs moving as waves is sooo fascinating; such a flow!
I know right? It’s almost hypnotizing!
The millipede is so cute 💕
Look at the tiny little legs ❤️😭
The Shogololo’s walking is satisfying
EVIEROSE 1176 three letters: H O W
I live in South Africa and see these on a daily basis. I couldn't stop laughing at their pronunciation😂 good try though Coyote
*"Creepy, crawly and completely harmless."*
Title: _Attack of the SHONGOLOLO!_
Yeah you are right because the title and what Coyote said was different.
@@cloangi stating the obvious
The Boys IKR.
He could easily have been tickled to death by all those lil' legs. Very risky.
Do you gys even know how milipede's attack
Coyote: Tonight, we're gonna be lookin' for a Shongololo!
Mark: A Shanga...What?
Coyote: SHON-GO-LO-LO!

Coyote: You may be thinking man that’s a big millipede...

When you see the millipede that I'm after, it's more impressive-looking.
Giant African Millipede: :-(
Fish N Steve aren't the giant African millipede and the shongololo the same?
OMG! I live in south Africa and I'm a huge fan!!!
Hey Coyote, a millipede scientist here, there was, at a time you recorded the video a millipede from west coast of US, named Illacme plenipes, which could have up to 700 legs, but a few years ago, in Australia, close to Perth i believe there was discovered an millipede with over 1000 legs, a new record! The species name is Eumilipes persephone and it was found in some gold mining shafts, as the animal spends its whole life underground on depths of 10-60 meters below surface! :D Great vids!
I BLESS THE RAINS DOWN IN AAAAAFRICA!!
Watching it walk is very satisfying the way the legs do a wave. Love it!!
"you're gonna put him back right?" Coyote: NO MY BABY!!!
Millipedes are so docile and sweet. I love them.
Another great video guys! I love that they're filmed in South Africa! I always love how you make your videos feel like I'm right there on the adventures with you guys. It's really special because I LOVE animals. Keep up the awesome contant :)

There again people dislike a video that was just uploaded before having time to watch the whole video. Crazy!!
Hope you get a compound fracture from dabbing somehow.
Not a single video on youtube with over 10k or even 1k views doesn’t have a dislike. Shuut up about it
ME TO
once you get big people just do that for no reason, they even buy dislike bots
Your welcome lol
The way it walks is so satisfying
I love brave wilderness because it actually helps me at school when the teacher asks me about animals
I hate insects but it looks really cute somehow
Yllasville1110 maybe because it isn't an insect?
2:04 “we’ve been wet this entire trip”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Lagging Cactus now this is a big black one
That’s what she said
Superb! Wished I ventured more into the forests of south Africa when I was there.
"We've been wet this entire trip" -that sounded reeeaally kinky😂😂 @ 2:02

2:44 🗣That's what she said!
Demac
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I had no idea my phone had the Lenny Face 😂
😤😤
Demac what is the name of the meme that you have on your profile?
Its fascinating watching the legs go in waves.
i used to live in South Africa for 11 years. we had so many of those in our house. even though it was our dry season we did get our rainy season so they did come out in numbers. they curl up into a small disk or so and that's how they protect themselves from praetors. we used them as hockey-pucks and kicked them out of our house.
Says it's harmless. Puts *Attack* in the title.
Kishou Arima lol 😂😂
o_o Well yeah, but even with how much money they earn, and with the clickbait that they use, their content is still good (base camp debatable), and they use a lot of money into making the episodes
Kishou Arima GET KANEKI TO BE KANEKI AGAIN
Lol it’s a friggin joke
What I saw at 2:30 made me think of LOL
Wanna taste my shongololo?
Yay finally a live show in my hometown Chicago
You are on trending and always will be!
I like that Toto reference at the end ;)
Director7 in the beginning too!
Graf Kidkat where is it in the beginning?
You guys should go explore Asia :D Who agrees with me?
I agreed with you
Mariel Tan ikr
I want him to get the Giant Japanese Hornet up for the camera (and yes, I know it'd be mental to actually take a sting because those put you in the hospital...but this is Coyote we're talking about).
No
My grandma is from Asia.
Thank you for featuring this creature. The red is really vibrant and all those legs are adorable.
I'm fine as long as I don't look at their legs, it gives me goose bumps, I admire your bravery.
Starbash dude it feels really cool when they walk on your skin. I used to put them in my sisters bed 😂🤣😂
Since you are in South Africa u can go to Kruger national park
For me it's weird to think of our brain moving our two legs, image 100...
Dear coyote: I am your biggest fan and I watch your videos EVERY SINGLE DAY and I love what you do and your great at it. I hope you never stop doing what you do and I support you. Btw I got your book and finished it in two days because I was so hooked to it. You inspire me and so many others to accomplish our dreams! Love you coyote! BE BRAVE, STAY WILD. I CANT WAIT FOR YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE❤️❤️
Being a South African and having my childhood in there, shongololo’s were all me played with.
Please go to Yosemite National Park for your next location! Like this comment if you agree!
Matty Phillips, YES! Please do this!
TheBattleKangaroo, I only did that so Coyote might see this comment and consider my idea. I apologize if I affended you, but don't go around looking to say something mean.
That would be awesome
Matty Phillips Great idea by the way.
0:21 That shot could NOT be real! So cool!
Iam Vikk it is, it's in slow motion
Legend has it that if bites you, you will laugh and giggle for three days straight. When we were kids and we were laughing too loud, the older people used to ask us if a shongololo bit us.
welcome to SA!!!! Its awesome here with us! njoy
He found the globglobglabalab
Pringle LOLLL I was thinking about that when I read it
This took a while to find, not that many memers here lol
Wow! I didnt know that Mellipedes were that Usefull at the Environments. 😯
Is so amazing on how every animal he sees, he knows mostly everything about that animal
i love your channel you taught me a lot
I thought of something else when he said the big black one 😂
"Let's check this plant structure..." WHAT? lol
Sciencedog1 source?
Only this guys and probably Mark Zuckerberg call a tree a plant structure lol
These things are all over in Durban. I loved looking for them when I was there on holiday.
When tarantulas crawl on you, they actually tickle you and you can feel their claw like things a little bit

Hey coyote, your book just arrived at my house and I’m super happy I’m like jumping around the house showing everyone the book because it means ssssoooooo much to me because you are the one who inspired me to love animals and I want to scream of happiness but some of my family are asleep. ❤️📙
So happy this Channel got the attention it deserves
Hello From Florida we have those you forgot to mention that if you give them stress they will throw some sort of liquid I hear it can be bad on your eyes not sure about the skin but they do although there is so many I do not know if all of them will do that Regards
Perfumezz I’m from Florida too
awesome !
My fellow Florida brethren! Shout out from Lake Worth
Perfumezz I've handled a few millipedes in south Africa and the worst I get is a bad smelling hands afterwards but I don't ever see them secreting anything
If you have sensitive skin or handle one that eats a lot of fruit it can stain the skin and leave mild burns, nothing terrible. Just don’t get it in your mouth it’ll make
You very sick
