So begins 2016. Before you click play on my newest track "I Wanna Know", let me talk to you on a personal level.
In the past year, you have all individually had a hand in taking Sickick to incredible heights. Whether you tweeted about it, liked a post, shared a post, or told your friends about the latest Sickick track, you played a major role in Sickick's success.
The purpose behind the #SpreadTheSickness campaign is not only to spread the music that I create, but also to prove to the world that even though I struggle with anxiety, I can turn that negative energy into something beautiful that can be enjoyed by anyone. It's the old saying "turn your negative into positive" put into action.
Becoming Sickick is my outlet to pull myself away from that world of insecurity, by channeling my thoughts into a creative art form; music.
When I put on my mask and transform into this dark persona, I actually feel stronger and more in control in reality. It's as though this identity you've helped me to create holds real life magic that affects me greatly! It may sound crazy, but it's the truth.
With each new army member, I feel infinitely more confident in my movement to spread the message that no matter what you are going through, whatever your dark side may hold (depression, limiting thoughts, fears...), you CAN and WILL overcome it. That's what Sickick represents to me - reaching your full potential. A mindset of hope and power.
#SpreadTheSickness is not just about me spreading what I create, it's about what we all individually can create. Together, we will make the #SickickArmy the most creative and fearless army the world has ever seen!
By joining me on this journey and becoming a SickickArmy member, you are promising that you will do everything in your ability to be the best version of yourself that you can possibly be, without limitation. Spread your OWN Sickness, however that may be (drawing, writing, singing, taking pictures, building your career, etc.), and rid yourself of any fears.
Everyone has a dark side. Find the beauty in yours.

I know this song's been out for a while but I wasn't home when it came out.
This past year I've been diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression that has restricted a lot of my life. Since I was old enough to distinguish genres of music, music has been my escape. I could turn it on and forget everything and it was like something that understood me and calmed me when nothing else did. The themes in your music has made me feel much more self-confident and (as cheesy as it is to say) powerful when listening to it. I brag about you to all my friends and show them your song because without talented artists like you, I doubt I would have made it through last year.
I know you have no obligation to write or record music for us but I just want to say thank you so much for continuously uploading amazing content!!
