I love that you take time to film boats that are somewhat realistic. The probability that I will be able to own something like this is far greater than a 45 million dollar super yacht.
Nice little boat and tour.....have you ever pressed something on these tours and then thought.... i wish i hadn't done that...😁 i can't be the only one that presses things that he shouldn't..😀
A genuine "Twofur" cruiser - a Sport Cruiser for play. AND a foul weather Cabin Cruiser for those early Spring, late Fall days when you're caught "out in it". Nothing is "crammed in" just for the sake of having it. A single LARGE head sure beats trying to clean up in one of three telephone booths. The ease of IPS "style" joy stick docking mixes well with the power and wake of twin outdrives - again, two boats in one. By all counts, this is a Beneteau Bargain. BTW, today is my 75th - this was a fun gift. Thanks Nick and Beneteau.
Another review of a boat that most sailors would use. For weekends, a couple of days with family or friends to sail around to favourite places at sea or up river. Versatile boat.
No nonsense good weekender. You can clearly see they had to make some sacrifices to make the budget, but overall would be a very nice boat to own and operate.
BBQ at the back a very good idea and tons of storage for a small boat. Liked the recessed bed at the front, a touch of security. Good thorough tour again Nick thank you.
And thank you Nick for this nice show of the Beneteau GT36 a nice boat not to big with a second cabin full beam I like this one a good start on this Tuesday what you will give us the rest of this week I can hardly wait
I like that Beneteau makes the bow areas on the GTs so usable. On this boat and the GT32 the bow looks like the place to be while your cruising along or out at anchor and I usually don’t get that impression from boats of similar size and style. The rest of the boat is also very well done, but the bow area stands out as a unique feature for me. Great video Nick! Thanks for the tour!
A really well thought out boat. Galley is as you said basic but certainly good enough to rustle up a snack or two. Love the social space and the bbq at the rear near the bathing platform. 👍🏻. The best feature for me is the standalone shower. Not a fan of wet rooms. Both cabins are really decent in size. Anyway great tour Nick.
Must agree with many of the comments. The 32GT was innovative by comparison!! Once again Nick, thanks for your thoughtful vlogs you never seem to miss anything of import!!
It looks quite pleasant, but after the creativity that was the 32GT you reviewed last year, I was a bit uninspired by the 36! Quite possibly a specification rather than design difference, but for 50% more money I think the 32 represented much better value. An excellent poke around though as always, I do enjoy the full tour, not just some PR person tour! Can't beat the Burnham behind the fibreglass curtain experience!
Good call. I watched the 32GT after reading your comment and agree the 32 is incredibly innovative, impressive and competitively priced. But I do prefer the space below deck on the 36. In an ideal world you would have the deck layout from the 32 on a 36 platform with the extended lower cabin space the 36 gives, and I'm sure it would still be relatively competitive compared to the unobtainable yachts I'm used to drooling over on youtube....
What a cracking boat Nick, great layout & a good size too. Like the grill position for the very reason you mentioned. What was notable was just how quiet it was below deck compared to the hullabaloo up top! 😃👋🏻
I must say for a weekender or as a day boat for 4 to 6 I prefer the GT32 you toured a while back. At this size maybe a coupe style boat would be nice so you can get more use out of it on the average summer day in northern Europe.
Recently discovered this channel and I love it! You are very well informed and seem like cool guy. It’s cool to see the smaller boats that I can at least somewhat dream about owning some day. Keep it up!
Another cracking little boat, different enough to have it's own niche, very appealing. Brilliant tour as always, thank you and take care. 👍👍👍🚢🛥🏴☠️⛴🛳☠🚤⛵⚓😎
I really look forward to your videos and i especially like your comraderies with David from Yachts for sale and charter:) both of you folks seem to enjoy each others company, I think it would be fun for you two and your Ladies to actually spend a weekend onboard a Yacht and make a few videos about that weekend and it might give both of you a different prospective about boating, maybe it would grow your two's relationship, it really does increase viewership when folks can and do have the chemistry you two have:)!
Very nice little micro-yacht! Two cabins, head with separate shower (big boat style!), galley...what more could you want? I like it! Thanks for the great tour!
Great tour and great weekender! Can you enclose the cockpit in case of inclement weather? Just worried that the furniture might get damaged quickly if not?
@@AQUAHOLIC that's good as we get more inclement weather than Mediterranean sunny in the UK 🙄 I guess its a cheap and cheerful ford Cortina gt than a Jag, sharp short trips rather than a motorway's cruiser. 🤔 Cheers Nick DougT in Mancs
I'd love to see you do a tour of a Granocean W-68. The only things we can get at the moment are pictures and an animated walkthrough...but nothing beats a proper viewing by Aquaholic!
Nick, you have created the 21st century encyclopedia Britanica of motor boats. I feel almost guilty getting all these reviews for free. When I pull the trigger next time it will not be without your input. So thanks.
This quite nice for an affordable option weekend yacht. Nick when you mentioned that you can run a gas hob out at sea, are you saying electrical options are not viable? I do agree with you on the prioritising on certain areas, overs others when space is at a premium. I suppose the aft bedroom, could have those side cupboards reduced in size and have the head of the bed facing 180 degrees and then put a cupboard on the aft of the space. Allowing as you say better head room.
@@AQUAHOLIC Sorry to bother you again, just have follow up questions then? 1. Can the Beneteau GT 36 be fitted a generator? 2. And/Or stabiliser? 3. GT 36 refers to the overall length or gross tonnage?
@@lionelgower6877 Both of those things tend to have their own 'box' in the engine bay, a smaller boat probably doesn't have enough space back there. The generator is like a mini engine for making electricity and something to regulate it. Would also need batteries and capacitors to store the electricity. Stabiliser uses a gyroscope type mechanism to react to the boats movement and adjust a fin underneath the boat.
great little boat nick.i see you made it to southampton.i was there on the friday.bad food but hey i enjoyed the boats.i took my mother for the first time and we enjoyed the jet ski guy and that guy went up 75 foot in the air with a water jet contraption.lol.
Great and practical little cruiser. That sliding sun roof is enormous! Lots of convenience features and both cabins are big for a 36 foot boat. I'm stumped on the watch Nick. I'm almost 100% sure it's not your Sub because the clasp and the bezel do not look right. Couldn't get a look at the dial but the clasp and the links look Tag to me. Maybe I'm not seeing it right. Nice yellow Seiko Diver the past few days. They have great rubber straps. Ever see or try on the Seiko Orange Monster? Quite a chunk of metal...very impressive and cheap as hell!
Nice boat, I would be happy cruising around for a week or two on this 😊. My only negative was the interior colour scheme, especially the wood finish on the doors, maybe an option to have a gloss white / other colour 🤔. Well presented as always, thanks 👍
Yes nice to get back to reality , be a good one to look out for say second hand in 5 or so years time should you be lucky to find one. Keep on trucking as they say and see you on the next one . Best wishes as always 😀👍👍👍
For the size and what it has to offer is brilliant ,love the layout but one thing i don't like is the fabric sunbeds which will get dirty very quick from sun lotion sweat and salt water .Apart from that an awesome boat .
Lovely little boat that Nick. Im curious what your thoughts are on having two dinettes. One Large one in the saloon seems like it would suffice no? Downstairs could have been used for something else.
Really nice piece of kit but, like others, think the 32 is better value for money. The blue dash looks really cool but very reflective. I also think that despite the high sided deck rails a couple of grab handles or a length of grab rail wouldn't go amiss and would aid the walk through to those nicely designed front sun loungers. One more minus point in my opinion is the lack of any door to shut out the elements when out and about. It would have to be canopies or nothing for that bit of extra shelter. A thumbs up overall from me but I would look elsewhere if in the market for this size and style of boat. Keep 'em coming NB. More of this price range rather than those stupidly opulent mega dosh gin palaces.
by the way at southampton my mothers favourites were sanlorenzo sx88 and fleming and the mini cruise trip and a dutch steel sailor which we went on board.take care.
Some really well thought out touches on there, making the boat that much more usable. love the BBQ/grill being at the back. Is this one you would consider for a next Smugglers Blues Nick?.
Lovely quality boat…. Can’t help my prejudices, move those engines further forward, on shafts and an aft cabin, centre raised cockpit, losing the mid cabin would give a potential 6 berths, using a cockpit dinette and an en-suite to the aft cabin…. in that same hull. Raises the air draft and the weight, but as ever, I’m accommodation greedy, in favour of rear cockpit access. I would and have favoured this layout on a sub 30ft hull, but at 36ft, I want more beds….😊 Saying that, sadly, I won’t be able to buy any 36ft boat any day soon 🙂
