    I love her! LOL. But I can't believe there are even comments complaining about something. "Loud music is rude" "If her music was seriously so loud that it's vibrating..." "This is racist" "She's literally assuming that because she's black..." "So because that old couples white..." "She's rude for this" or that... Like it's a joke people. You're supposed to laugh not cry and complain. Seriously white people, you guys gotta loosen up, life's not that serious.

    • @sandyjones5865
      @sandyjones5865 8 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Totally agree. I did think for one instance I wonder how loud it was. But honestly your music doesn't have to be loud at all for the bass to be heard. I think because the white peolmewere staring everyone assume she's in some ghetto low rider with that bad rattling sound from the music.
      Honestly classical music needs to be listened to at a slightly higher level because it has great hills and valleys. If I'm on a long car trip I love to get lost in a classical piece whole going 85-90 mph. There is nothing as powerful as a symphony.

      she was rude by calling someone, a bitch, for no reason. It is like..how dare you don´t like rap music? she is the one who is judging people. Not only judges but also shares some of that opinion too. The only reason she had singed, was to prove that she is not only another black person listening to rap music, that somehow, because she can sings beautifully with a opera voice, she is more than you had asume she is.

    • @bassbonebobf

      Renato is correct (Vivaldi's "Gloria"). The lyrics and translation:
      Laudamus te, benedicimus te, adoramus te, glorificamus te
      We praise thee, we bless thee, we worship thee, we glorify thee.
      The work was originally written for a choir and orchestra of orphaned and abandoned girls in Venice in the early 18th century, at an institution called the "Pieta" where Vivaldi was their music teacher and conductor (maestro di cappella).

    • @AlanHope2013
      @AlanHope2013 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      bassbonebobf
      Actually Laudamus te is a movement from the ordinary Mass, so it's been set to music by all kinds of different composers. None of them included a bass line such as you'd hear in another car, though, so that part is entirely made up.

      prgnify Classical music the genre, not the era. Come on now.

    • @prgnify
      @prgnify 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lindasaurus
      Why? What would be the definition of the genre? Using classical instruments? Like when I say I like rock music, cause the music I listen to has guitars in it, and you automatticaly know if I'm talking about Foo Fighters, Krisiun or Beatles?
      Classical music and baroque music has many more differences than just the era, like the bass line - which is characteristic of the baroque genre AND important to her story.
      Anyway, I try not to be pedantic, and I'm sorry if you really thinks I've wasted anyone's time. But to me it seemed just as pedantic as the original comment, so w/e, I tried to give my 2 cents.

    • @rw1993n64
      @rw1993n64 9 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      prgnify baroque is a subgenre of classical. so is romantic.. and renaissance.. western classical music encompasses all of these, don't be a pedant

    • @prgnify
      @prgnify 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Like my rock music exemple. And many more, as House and Trance music are subgenres of "Techno", or the kids that come correcting you when you say Dubstep in a Brostep music video.
      I don't get why people like the clarification of subgenres in some cases and not in others. w/e.

    I don't care what kind of music someone else listens to and don't judge anyone by their music. But when a car pulls up next to mine blasting the bass so that my car vibrates and I can't hear my music then I judge that person to be a rude jerk, no matter what type music they are listening to. It isn't the music itself, it is the huge bass intrusion into my car. It is rude.

      MrRossT1 it isn't a problem with my car and my windows are rolled up. It is the over amplified bass emanating from the cars of rude jerks that resonates through all the cars around them that is the problem. Maybe I just need to equip my car with multiple commercial truck grade air horns that I could blast in the direction of the bass-jerks' cars in traffic. I wouldn't be a jerk then by your estimation, the bass-jerks would simply need to roll up their windows and get better cars to mute my air horn blasts. Right?

      Thomas Burns How about you get a life? :P Obviously, you don't have much going on in your head if rolling up the windows doesn't help. What's next, executing people for farting. "They polluted my breathing air!"

    People that blast their music so loud that you can't hear your own music in your own car are simply arrogant, disrespectful, rude, etc etc. But that's OK; I smile when I think about the hearing loss that they idiots are sustaining, will never get back, and don't even realize or care. Have fun with that hearing aid when you're 50.

    I'm fairly sure the woman wasn't making a judgement call about the music, but rather about the excessive volume. And, depending on what kind of person the other woman was, it could also have been down to the fact that Retta is black and quite fat. I think the 'rap' music (which would be hard to discern from just the bass, especially to any older woman) was probably the least of her problems :/

      For all you know that story was completely made up. Unless you where there? The least of your problems is how black and fat she is so why take it there?

      Wayne Gibson The story is obviously made up, contrived solely to show off a bit on Conan's show, & poorly done, as it is rife with self-contradictions.

      Wayne Gibson Perhaps it was made up, I'd not considered that. I have no problem with her weight or race, I just meant that those would probably be the things annoying the older couple far more than wondering whether she's playing rap music or not

      "fairly sure", eh? The youtube supersleuths strike again! How many times did you have to enhance the image to discover what the couple in the story were REALLY thinking? I must have this technology!

    Amazing voice. Really would like to hear more of her.
    Would be amazing if she would show up at Andre Rieu tour.
    And come to Holland, Maastricht ....
    Amazing and really jalous ... my voice even doesn't want to shout outloud ... ;) Let alone sing .... well If you want to clean out a room full of people it would work but that is about it.
    Really very beautifull
