Thank you doctor's. I'm having a left pulmonary ablation on 10/2024 at the Cleveland Clinic. I live out of state in Nevada. I have been in contact with my doctor's Nurse and had a video appointment with her. I had AFib in 2022 and A Flutter in 2024. I texted my concerns about staying on the blood thinner Eliquis , as I'm very active in Hiking and working out in the gym. I texted my doctor's Nurse over the possibly of putting the Watchman in while I'm having the Ablation in the left heart area. I just hope I met the Medicare requirements for the watchman. Great information from the doctor's.
Why is a stroke neurologist not part of this discussion? Why are 2 cardiac electrophysiologists leading a Boston Scientific-funded trial (obvious conflict of interests issues) having this discussion? These studies should have vascular neurologists, rehabilitation physicians and hematologists in the data, safety monitoring board to reduce conflicts of interest.
