I love being in the stadium for this. I was late for one game and could hear this from outside, like four streets away. That was incredible and I want to hear that from outside too! But I don't want to be late for another game and miss it from inside 😂
I remember when we used to come out to 'the wonder of you you' by Elvis or someone - absolute crap! The fans at Arsenal have always been rubbish, but by golly Arteta has improved things 10 fold......

What ever happens we can not deny how arteta and this squad has brought us back to being a proper fan base the atmosphere we create at the Emirates now along with the team we're making it a fortress again amd what a massive 3 points still not lost to any of the classic top 6 clubs this season

I did notice the difference between the way the broadcaster treated the respective anthems. At the last game between Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield the studio chat and I ground commentary remained silent, whereas at The Emirates this week they continued to voice over ‘North London Forever’ ~~ Shame/Disrespect Broadcaster!

I might be a Liverpool fan and would hate to lose the title race to Man City, but if we did ‘slip up’ 😅, a tiny part of me will be very pleased for Arsenal. Mind you, start winning everything (like Citeh did) and that tiny part disappears very quickly. Loyalties and tribalism aside, one of my abiding memories of this season will be the fans chanting this at the end of this game. I was absolutely gutted we lost, goes without saying, but every proper fan acknowledges that moment when a stadium erupts at the final whistle and the anthemic choruses break out. Had a similar feeling last night after the mad scenes at the Bridge. I used to absolutely hate Chelsea but you cannae begrudge that kinda atmosphere after a late win like that. As a Red, we know all about it. It’s what makes this the greatest sport in the world. What a fucking great title race we have. Stellar anthem, fitting lyrics for the world’s greatest city (and the northern half at that). 😊

@@jeewssam8418 YNWA has been associated with LFC since the 1960s when it was famously covered by Gerry & The Pacemakers: the lead singer is a scouser and lifelong Liverpool fan. He presented it to Shankly, who endorsed it, and the Kop adopted the song (the Merseyside version) as the club’s anthem. 🙄
Anyway, if your point is that it isn’t “about Liverpool”, well- The Angel isn’t about Arsenal, which the singer has said himself. Not really the point though: it’s a great anthem and not like the generic crap that comes out of Chelsea, so fair play!
@@96s40 I know why YNWA was adopted by LFC - I was replying to someone who was comparing Arsenal's new anthem unfavourably to it. It's academic really because it doesn't matter why a club adopts an anthem: they just do. West Ham's theme song was adopted because one of its players was nicknamed Bubbles - it's another song from the US and in itself has nothing to do with east London, but that doesn't really matter. I was only pointing out that The Angel has a much closer association with the club who adopted it as its theme song.
