For the license question: Where I grew up in the a tiny rural area we could get our learners permit at 14. If we took drivers ed and passed both the driving and written test we had that permit for three months. If we didn’t take drivers ed, we had to have the permit for 6 months. So at either 14 years and 3 or 6 months you could get your license and drive by yourself between the hours of 6am-10pm, and you had to have someone over 18 with you overnight if you were driving. And then when you turned 16 you could get your full license and drive by yourself no matter what time it was. It’s a pretty complicated system hahaha
In Nevada at 15 years and half you can take the knowledge test to get your driving permit which is the one allows a minor under 18 years to drive and start learning and along side with someone who is with offical driver license and 18 years above. Permits it's only valid for 1 year and a teen have within that time frame to get up to 50 hours of driving out of that 50 hours there must be 10 hours driving at night plus driver Ed school, after that then she's ready to take the test to get full driver license . The official driver license used to last every 5 years but now they updated it to 8 years. And if any teen that lives in rural areas in Nevada takes their knowledge test and gets their permit at same 15 years and half after that they have option to either drive up 50 hours plus driver ed or no driver ed with 100 hours of driving behind the wheels. Of course with a driver license holder that is 18 years and above. Minor with driver license can only drive with immediate family only can't give friends a ride just family for the first 6 months and can drive from 5am to 10pm till he or she turns 18 yeara unless it's work related if she must drive between 10pm to 5am and must . 18 years and above can take the knowledge test gets their permit and start learning with someone with driver license no driver ed required or hours behind the wheel needed. He or she would take the driving test when comfortably to do so and after getting the official license no restrictions from their on.
