Hello Giuseppe, Sorry that I am putting my comment in English, I am in Canada but originally from Malta your neighbour. This kind of basket weaving was my family’s business for many years. They used to make hundreds of these baskets for the farmers to take to the market. Their shape was different, the were about 400mm in diameter and about 600mm high, with two small handles opposite each other, just big enough for a man’s hand to grab the basket with one hand or two hands, depending how heavy it was. These “handles” were weaved in as part of the finishing grading. I just was wondering if you have encountered or made some similar. Be very interested to get your comments. Thank you.
Hi, yes I have made some, there are also some videos that I have uploaded, I also plan to do a tutorial soon of a basket with handles. Previously, these types of baskets were used a lot. Thanks for the comment
bellissimo risultato.....molto dettagliato. forse sarebbe unico spiegare come trattare il materiale per la lavorazione ...specialmente materiali semplici da reperire come ulivo e lentisco.
