Thanks for posting this online The Clash Return To Brixton very good version. I saw the clash three times twice at the Rainbow Theatre 78/79 and the Hammersmith Odeon in London 1980 with mikey Dread.
Nice! Thank you for posting. I just read about this on Wikipedia. "a version of the song, taken from the remastered version of London Calling and remixed by Jeremy Healy, was released by CBS as a CD single, 7-inch vinyl and 12-inch vinyl entitled "Return to Brixton" in July 1990."
I was looking at some other website and the song began and I did not recognize but thought it sounded like a new or maybe old unreleased prodigy! I've loved this song since early 80'ss and still play almost every other day. Cheers.
Just watched the movie Ennio - biography of Ennio Morricone where Paul Simonon appears briefly talking about Ennio. And I started thinking.. How much did he have to do with Ennio? The only trace I could think of is the sample from The Man With Harmonica used throughout this remix.
Ur right mate 👍I heard it and thought na someone s taking the piss ,I don’t like it that much that I said before knowing anything about it probably bit tipsy that night 🤔 for me tho I don’t like it ,and learned summin so 👍😂😂

I wish you were from once from the west.
been looking for this one for a long minute. like decades.

that beat going just a *hair* out of time with the other snare is one of the best things i've heard in my life.
I got this when it 1st came out and decades later its still a refreshing number. Love ❤ the Clash.
In Brixton you could have nice time with Jamaicans drinkin’ wine and smokin’ cannabis. It was a good time, will never forget it :) ! jon

I remember Iggy Pop being on the panel reviewing the single on BBC Radio 1's Round Table. He went absolutely wild for it!

The harmonica from once upon a time in the west.
During the Out of Control tour 1984 they used that harmonica intro before to play The Guns of Brixton
Good,good

Was in response of the sont "Dub be good to me" from Beats International in 1990

ithe harmonica is a sample from an old western/Clint Eastwood movie I think
Un cumbión bien buenón!
Cumbión? Estás con fiebre verdad? No compares a THE CLASH, con cumbias. (Quédate tranquilo no se lo diré a nadie lo que escribiste).
Master
Muito bom
👍✨
No waaaaaaaaay sick
Where is the drum sample from? I know Sublime uses this for Scarlet Begonias. It sounds like Public Enemy, it’s not west coast to my ear.
That break is Clyde Stubblefield playing on James Brown's Funky Drummer.
Make some more please!
they can't the lead singer died in 2002
might even have been the year before
This might
I like the Good the bad and the Ugly gun sounds
who did this?? I dig it !!
They may have had a little help but the Clash themselves released it in 1990.
Jeremy Healy did these remixes, or so it says on my 12" copy. Released to cash in on the success of Should I Stay in a Levi's advert in 1990.
me dad had the single on cd wen i was a kid it was done by the clash
Futura 2000. song on LP Bootleg: "This is Dub Clash".
