Its sad that they freak out so badly over stretch marks!! Mine were like that but all over stomach, it sucked, but it wasnt the end if the world. I try not to be vain. But with them, it was all so competitive, trying to stay pretty for the emperor. The schemes, and all they had to endure, it was not an easy life. The saddest thing to me is that by ruyi not rebuking hailan's fear. It tells me that she believes that the love of her life is callous enough to not give sweet hailan attention because of her looks. Ruyi pretty much confirmed it in her lack of response. Reminds me how superficial that Era was when it came to women. You lose your beauty, you lose respect. Unless you're the empress or dowager
