If the weather is warm enough I wear sandals, and I quit wearing synthetic shoes and now only wear leather, so my go to shoes are currently the Gobi Desert Boot on colder days and the Sensus for my gym shoe. Stay well my friend.
Thanks for sharing! 👍 I have checked their website and sadly it seems to say this about the insole - "The Everyday Cork & Recycled PU insole is made from recycled PU, topped with a layer of naturally antibacterial cork." (I assume PU means Polyurethane plastic)
Yes, I think so. The underside of the insole is a foam synthetic material made of some sort of plastic. the topside is cork, but I'm sure they glue it together and not sure if the glue is non-toxic? I wish they would make most of these shoes without the insole like the Sensus. I tried removing the insole in this shoe, and it's too big. Sounds like you are also trying to avoid synthetic materials? Welcome to my channel!
How beautiful are these shoes! I got a pair of this model, but in suede for the hot months. Thanks also to your review, I bought 2 pairs of gobi 3 boots in bracken color. Furthermore, since they are all sewn, I know I will be able to resole them, because they also have this service.💯👌
I agree, soo beautiful! I just finished my bike ride, and my shoes usually slide around a bit on my plastic pedals, and with this shoe I could notice the extra grip from the rubber. I've hiked Great Smoky, several mountains in Southern Utah and many mountains in Montana with the Gobi, and it hasn't failed me yet. In fact it was my homesteading shoe for 2 years in Montana, I chopped a lot of firewood with the Gobi. Can't beat a good leather shoe. My only complaint is you will get some small rocks in the boot, but that's with any shoe including sandals. Cheers!
@@primalpassionI'm sure that the gobi boots will be very useful to me on my walks in nature with my dachshund, in the city, as well as at work. Thanks again for the nice reviews. greetings from Italy. 🙂
Yeah me too! They make quality shoes, and great return policy/customer service, and the best part is they are starting to use more natural and sustainable materials. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Cheers!
I go back and forth between these two shoes. The RA looks professional, and gives you a bit more support, but every time I put on the Sensus, I don't want to take it off because it is so comfortable and you get more mobility. I find myself wearing the sensus more than the RA. But I just got a pair of Toetem sandals, and now that's all i want to wear, lol! So much freedom with sandals. Welcome to my channel!
@@guillemservera What do you think of the Sensus? Your profile pic looks like you play tennis? You should check out my Geo Court video! It's a pretty cool tennis/b-ball shoe. Hope you like your new shoes man!
Hey, thanks for the review. I’m looking for a smart barefoot shoe to go to a funeral with because my old shoes are conventional pointed shoes and I just can’t wear those types of shoes anymore. I also would wear these as smart shoes to go to the pub or restaurant with. Before deciding, I was going to get the Gobi Lux Shoes or RA III Lux shoes, but in the end I opted to buy these in black. Although, the earth tones also look nice… I have a question? Are these shoes true to size or do you recommend buying a smaller size, so they fit with socks on or off? For example, I bought the Gobi Boots and normally I’d buy size 44 EU which is U.K. size 10 but with the GOBI’S I found they were bigger than other Vivobarefoot shoes the same size, so I went a size lower. Purchasing the Gobi Boots in 43 EU which is U.K. size 9. Thanks. Watching your channel from the U.K.
Sorry about the funeral. What Gobi Boots did you buy? This shoe is pretty close to true to size for me, but just a tad short on the length which did not give me enough toe room. They also fit my skinny foot very well, so if you have a wide foot I would not recommend this shoe. I would also recommend trying the Gobi Desert boot, that's my favorite Vivo shoe, it's a tad bigger than this shoe which gives me plenty of toe room, and i can wear thick wool socks in the winter with the Gobi desert boot too. Because Vivo has a free return policy, I always order a couple different styles in a couple different sizes and send back what I don't want. Cheers!
@ Thanks, I appreciate that. I purchased the GOBI BOOT MENS in Black Leather with a black sole. I didn’t realise the RA III LUX MENS shoe is more suited to narrow feet and less so wide feet. I think my feet are more wide than narrow. I suppose when I visit Vivobarefoot store I can still try them on in UK size 9 and 10 with toe socks on and with the insoles in place to see if they fit or not? But I will also try the GOBI LUX MENS Desert boots in black in the same sizes in the store and compare which feels better but based on what you said it sounds like the desert boots will fit my wide feet better. If so, I’m hoping I can wear them with a suit and trousers and for casual smart look when I wear jeans as well.
Great review! I hope more vendors selling natural clothes come up especially for underwear. I have a couple of questions for You, which one would you choose and in regards to the barefoot experience, Gobi Lux or RA III Lux? Do the boots allow for the feet to develop naturally or does it restrict the posture a bit, whereas a low top would be better? Also which one has wider toe box?
I have a playlist with natural organic cotton clothes I'm wearing including my underwear. Both shoes have the same sole and feel the same as far as how much ground feeling you get. They have a thin sole, but with the insole that gives you a little protection over gravel and rocks. Both shoes are great, actually my 2 favorite current models. The Gobi fits for a wider foot, has a bit more room in the toe-box area and the RA is a narrow fit. Both shoes will certainly let your foot be a foot, with plenty of room for toes to splay out. Order both from vivo, with multiple sizes, try them out and send back what you don't want. free 100 day trial with free returns. Hope this helps!

Hiking and bike riding in dress shoes is unheard of lol. Definitely a nice looking shoe though. These might just be my next purchase from them.
