He was originally a human sorcerer during the Heian Era who was known as the King of Curses and the greatest sorcerer to ever live. After his death, Sukuna sealed his immense power into 20 fingers, which became cursed objects that could attract other cursed spirits and choose their own vessels. If a sorcerer consumes one of Sukuna's fingers, Sukuna can partially or fully resurrect, which can lead to intense battles. The plot of the anime centers around finding all of Sukuna's fingers to prevent him from reviving.
I like JJK a lot, but it is fucking fascinating seeing a manga community break down into like.. stan culture, tiktok drama, sports team rivalry type shit- this is truly historic, imagine having so much beef over these characters you forget it's a dude writing a story and not a real historical event.
It's either the people who won't let you say anything that's not slobbering over the story, or the ppl that say the story is shit, give no reason why and still continue to read it every week
@@MinorPumpingIron And when they do provide reasoning, they point out to crap being a retcon and say “well I read the series 4 times so I know what I’m talking about.” Then they contradict their self just so they can be right in the conversation.

@@Rando1481 I respect your opinion, but I personally feel like the story itself is really good. Reading it is kinda like an investment, cuz you have to dive deep to really get the story, and there's the chance you won't like it anyway. I hate leak culture so much. I swore it off after reading the leaks for a certain chapter. I hate how little decorum people have about containing spoilers and thinking that this shit should be normal. It's also funny how many of the people who hate the series and think that Akutami is a shitty writer are at the front of the line for these leaks and constantly waiting for the newest chapter.
The complaint about fighting was because we were stuck in a cycle of "X character shows up. Now they have a strategy and will surely defeated Sukuna" and by end chapter that didn't do anything at all. A couple exemples would be Itadori hitting 8 black flahses and Sukuna being fine, Sukuna being hit with a hollow purple to the face and being fine, Sukuna simply avoiding Jacob's latter, the whole Miguel and Larue part. In all this cases it looked like sh1t was finally happening just for it to fail by end chapter and we getting introduced to another factor that looks like is gonna change the fight but also won't do sh1t
People complain about the series because there is too much repetative action week to week and there is no story, but then when Gege switches to deep and meaningful character conversations and story it's a yap session. 😂😂I can't with this fandom man. Lobotomy Kaisen is real.
I remember when 265 came out and people were complaining it was a “yap” chapter. That was literally one of the things missing from JJK for the longest time, and seeing a handful of people complain about it was strange.
265 was horrendous, but not because of the writing to go from such an intense fight to gege basically going "yeah guys, I knew how to write this whole time, but it's too late to enjoy it now" was certainly a decision
Lol no, Toji/Maki can see and interact with curse the way a normal sorcerer can. There's literally a statement that say Toji can see, smell, touch, tatse and hear curses
@@lehothaiduong4363I beg you reread the Curse Noaya vs Maki fight, as Maki and Toji have the same heavenly restriction they cannot see curses. People calling Nobara an asspull, but actively forgetting Gojo was trapped in the prison realm. Gojo even reminded Sakuna it was a mistake to show them you can bring someone back to life.
Also it wasn't directly stated that she was dead. plus I'm pretty sure characters die only when limbs or their whole bodies are being twisted or blown off.
Completely different tbh, Gojo getting out of the prison realm was one of the central focuses post shibuya. Nobara was barely mentioned. No foreshadowing, no real lead up. No impact
@@lilbaz5412 No I mean. If fan service a.k.a pleasing the fans. As in if to please the fans is what Gege wants, he'd just motorboat Gojo across the manga. Instead of offscreening him
12:49 the funny thing is daido is the only fighter who cant properly see curses in the conventional sense, when cursed naoya was flying in the air, maki SAW HIM and asked kamo what that was, and when naoya slammed maki on the wall in the beginning of their fight, she LITERALLY RECOGNIZED HIS FACE DESPITE BEING A CURSE, MEANING SHE CAN SEE CURSES Edit: maki and toji more or less use differences in temperature and air pressure as a way to help them predict someones movements, they dont need it to see curses
The Naoya thing can be explained quite easily: If a cursed spirit makes contact with a human who doesnt have cursed energy, then they are allowed to see curses, Maki also wore glasses that allowed her to see them earlier in the manga, and because cursed Naoya was actively trying to kill Maki, she could see him, its why Yujis class mates at the very start could see the cursed spirit, because it was actively trying to kill them. Maki can't see curses, she explains this herself, its why the Zenin clan hated her. As for Toji, I'm pretty sure it's explained that he can't see them but he does have a way of sensing they're present through differences in the air, such as their movement. But idk about Toji. The worm is making contact with him so he can see that, and having trained it, it's probably never too far away from him. I'd imagine him having the worm wrapped around him probably allows him to see cursed spirits. In Shibuya it can be explained that it wasn't technically Toji, it was a sorceror who'd been taken over by Toji whilst trying to take control of his body, so he now posses a bit of cursed energy, but idk about that
@@alineli9824 the most resent chapters have made it painfully obvious tbh. It's annoying, because they give gege shit despite the fact that they're not actually paying attention.
The issue I have with jjk was everything up until after sukuna vs gojo was actually interesting and hinted at it being deeper than just “oh we boxing” there was a lot of undertones in the story, specifically about mentality. And that’s as really driven by Gojos storyline but also supported by makis evolution, megumis development, and also yuji searching for his purpose. And it all fell flat and was essentially forgotten once we got to the sukuna vs gojo fight. It was not woven into the fight. It felt like characters who had no business being there were showing up. They weren’t making any progress because every chapter it would look like whoever showed up was going to make an impact or meaningfully take something from sukuna but he would just cast his domain at the start of the next chapter. If there’s a big boss and he has say 8 abilities and you bring in a load of side characters in addition to the main cast to take them down, one would logically conclude that every person or group would at the very least contribute to the loss of the abilities or essentially neutralizing it. That way everyone feels like they are doing something. But the fight didn’t feel that way. After angel yuta todo choso and everyone else got done fighting what did they accomplish. As far as I’m concerned sukuna was still doing his domain and still had rct in some form. Maybe he wasn’t able to literally one shot them but he was very much still able to mop everyone. The main issue was gege making sukuna use binding vows to continue to use his abilities at max output to stay in the fight but no other character really did that. Why didn’t yuta make a binding vow, why doesn’t yuji make a binding vow, hell why does gojo not make a binding vow at any point during the fight. It’s all sukuna doing it so it feels like there really not making. Any progress. And while this is happening your favorite character is landing attacks but is ultimately not doing any dmg and is going to die anyway. Gege completely fumbled the final part of jjk and if you don’t think he did then look at it from the prospective of what someone who is reading the first 2/3rds of the series for the first time would think. Maybe we will get some expedition about the hein era, afterall sukuna was the strongest from that era so I’d like to see how he became this way, WHO IS URAME, what is kenjaku origin, what Is the gens connection to him and his origin. Where does jujutsu come from and how did Japan come to harness if. What is this supposed reincarnation cycle the disaster curses go through, how did kenjaku even connect with them. How did kenjaku make the 20 fingers. There is so much expedition we don’t get. So let’s go over to all again. We get a log. Ass fight, the characters are dying but are seemingly not making. Any progress because even when they make a major blow sikuna still casts his domain, he still has rct, he just makes a binding vow and gets a black flash and effectively nullifies all that everyone else was trying to do, and we see half the cast die, including new and old characters, some of which barely have any character development. Megumi just gives up for some reason???? Like why… and when we get to the final fight it doesn’t even make a difference. The plan was to save Megumi and bruh just doesn’t want to. There’s no talk no jutsu or anything. Even something like that would have been better than him just saying Nuh uh. For the series to end in 5 chapters when we are in what most people thought was halfway through or 2/3 through the final arc is unexpected. Everyone had the same reaction. How can this possibly be wrapped up in 5 chapters. Because it feels like we were in the middle of the story being told not to mention most ppl weren’t happy with the way he was using the characters. Jjk is a prime example of building up an expectation for a masterful world and characters only for it to just not be used and squandered. Why was kenjaku killed so easily. I thought it was funny at the time but now I genuinely wish we got to see him fight with all his power. We don’t even get to know what his other techniques were.
Very well said jjk content creators have kind of made me hate this series by the way make every excuse under the sun for terrible writing and poor execution and then call everyone else dumb for not accepting this as high art lol
THIS. Tired of the prepotent content creators doing vids like "x fans can't read" or sum shit like that. There are people that really seemed to be on it just for Gojo and went ape shit when he died, but there are a lot of things to criticize about JJK in this final arc. I still like the series, but the writing and execution got sloppy and it will obviously end feeling rushed.
at 3:00, Jujutsu Kaisen ALSO translates into 'Endless battle of curses' ;Kai - to 'rotate' or 'cycle' and Sen meaning 'battle'. It's about the cycle of hate and going north or south.
JJK fans really pisses me off. Most of the fans only watched/read the series because gojo, they don’t care about the message gege trying to convey in his story. Obviously I have criticism but it actually valid.
@@georzonnaYou wanna know a series thats been heavily milked? One Piece. Thousands of chapters and for what? It’s one of the worst paced pieces of literature ever.
@Frozezoner I would say that One Piece used to be good, but Oda probably got the praise go to his head and he has been EXTREMELY self indulgent with his writing for a while, there was a period right after Dresrossa where the manga got (very rightfully) criticized for its pacing and he did listen and improve, you can read Zou and Whole Cake and those actually have some really good pacing (yes Whole Cake is around 75 chapters long, but it also has a very intricate story with twists about every other chapter so it's never boring) and then what does he do ? Wano is literally an arc that is filled to the brim with pointless sub plots that lead nowhere and he wasted so much time on characters that we will never care for after their introduction that the actually important stuff are brushed aside (the crew members not named Sanji get jack shit in terms of character development, and outside of Zoro they only get like one or two cool scene either). Oda is probably the most overrated and self indulgent writer I have seen in a while, and that pains me because One Piece used to be one of my favorite manga by a mile, but the writing has plummeted in quality (Egghead gave me hope, first half was peak, I can't fathom how you can squander such a good arc with one of the worst second half imaginable)
The entire world of jjk revolves around gojo and he's the most powerful, the most well written, explored and coolest character used to push the show, and your surprised people read the manga just for him?
Ok in some defense there is the John werry translations which made me confused sometimes. The megumi hate annoyed me also since Sukuna bathed in depression
It's strange to me that people will say "it's a shonen battle anime so expect only battles" when Hidden Inventory and Shibuya had some amazing storytelling and character development. The series fell off HARD after that, and to say "JJK was never about the story" sounds like a major cope to me.

I dont understand why people dont like Nobara being brought back and then they dont elaborate?? Like they keep saying PLOT CONVINCE!!!11 The villians has been getting plot convince from the start and have been planning plus the nobara reveal was foreshadowed in the culling games and even gege had said "one dies everyone lives of everyone lives but one dies" (i mean whoever that is alive ig 💀) but fr tho these fans dont have lick of reading comprehension but somehow come with the most elaborate theories ive ever seen.
Mf really hit us with the "but the bad guys did it before so it's ok if the good guys do it !1!1!" Your "foreshadowing" is the interpretation cult leaders use on holy books quotes to claims the apocalypse every year. You know what gege actually said in an interview thought ? That he had nothing more for nobara, shortly after she got packed. Then she's back to be relevant for 5 chapters at best. Reading comprehension is a false problem promoted by mental gymnasts.
Nobara waking up after the battle with Gojo, but just in time to assist Yuji is, indeed, very convenient. But I'm willing to accept that, I don't have many problems with it. In fact, I was very happy to see Nobara back. If she was really dead, that would have been the most underwhelming and anticlimactic death of a major character in all of shonen. It felt off. My only gripe is that she's been out of the story for the greater portion of the manga and now, with just four chapters left, we won't get much from her. Her character effectively ended in Shibuya, and I wanted her to be explored a little more. That is all.
Because of terrible execution, is it so hard to understand. Barely acknowledging a character's existence for 100 chapters then dropping them in the last 5 chapters to help at the most convenient time possible with no foreshadowing or build up is simply bad writing.
The only thing i dont like about this manga is its how its gonna end. Im presumptious, but in my opinion continuing the story of JJK after Sukunas defeat like "how is the sorcerer society gonna deal with the revelation of their existance? Or like "how are they going to deal with the constant appearance of cursed users and spirits since Gojos dissapearance?" Theres so much potential to this mangas story if it was continued but what the hell That "finale", was so bland. Yuji wasnt even emotional after the shi he went through and Megumi was kinda there as if all the shit didnt happen. Either way, the manga had a good run and story, but the potential was wasted and the ending felt botched and anticlimactic.

12:11 so if yuji is trying to find the human part of sukuna, what then. “Oh ok that’s fine let’s get back to boxing” nah he was gona try and get him to stop fighting. He was trying together et sukuna to change. His domain didn’t do anything if I recall correctly to make sukuna weaker or anything like that. It was purely just to yap. IF THAT ISNT TLAK NO JUTSU IDK WHAT IS. Talking to try and get the villain to stop being bad and doing bad things and to “find the humanity in them” that’s literally what it was. And tbh it was disappointing because sukuna reacted the way everyone literally expected him to, because again he’s been shot talking yuji the whole time even during the fight, and yujis domain did nothing but deplete a copious amount of his cursed energy.
Ok but one real problem is the fact that hakari uraume fight just became nonexistent. Also (forgive me if idk how to read or whatever) but wtf does yuji’s domain do???

Sukuna killed kashimo and Hiromi with the slash but I agree, after killing gojo sukuna was so strong the entire cast should be dead in 2 chapters, yet for plot reasons the world slash became useless after kashimos death
"Infinity and Purple and Sukuna would be dead" STFU lmao Infinity gets bypassed by DE and Sukuna survived two boosted Purples, barring the fact that Sukuna wouldn't even let Gojo cast HP
I can't believe we still have people that think sukuna transferred damage My brother in christ, he just didn't protect megumi with his domain sure-hit when in the domain clashes, there was no damage transfer (Because that's never been a fucking thing for incarnated sorcerers, thinking otherwise is stupid)
The fact that maki vs toji is even a topic of conversation when in the anime they both have the same heavenly restriction is insane. When were introduced to toji were informed that hes rusty and out of his prime, and even THEN he was faster than pre awakened gojo. You coukd even make the arguement that if toji was in his prime, awakened gojo would have also died. Saying makis feats carry toji is genuinely stupid, they have the same set if powers and skills. They are equal.
@@camillecunningham7348 no fr! The way people act as if maki is better than toji because her feats "carry" him (like they don't have the same powers) when tojis experience most definitely would make up for the fact that they're equals.
@@camillecunningham7348 That's actually just what makes Maki better. Toji trained under heavenly restriction. While Maki trained as a normal person. I completely agree The JJK “fans” are completely delusional and brainrotten, to the point their logical thinking is as consistent as The Acolyte They’re way too obsessed with the fights yet also not; they’re way too obsessive with character strength but not the characters. I remember how much people were like “the fight is so long and continues to be a cycle” and then when the absolutely perfect chapter 265 came out people were like “wut happen to the fights? Get back to it!” People call Yuji a bad MC because he’s weak when literally almost all shonen MC are comparatively weak as all hell to the top hitters, or say he was given everything to him when, again, same thing. People like to say Megumi giving up is unrealistic but I’d say after losing you’re father figure, sister, being mentally tortured by infinite information, hurting countless others, and being bathed in literal evil, I’d say that is the most fcking realistic response someone would have, heck, I know for sure that’s most likely what these “fans” would do, too! And don’t get me started with how people wanted Nobora back and then they didn’t when she came back, calling it bad writing and that it’s now “Disney Kaizen” Did we even read the same series? Is your memory that much worse than Dory’s, because that sure seems like it. I guess I can see, being told she was done by the author, but I don’t see that criticism floating around but rather her coming back was a deus ex machina when the literal thing could be said about Todo. My theory is a mix of people tired of waiting both weekly and bi weekly for the next chapter because it honestly is that good, too used to expecting the shonen formula yet also beg for something else, and are too obsessed with strength over character. I like JJK for the fights but love it because of the thought and care put into its world, characters (yes, I know, Gege says he doesn’t have a particular connection towards them, but he puts so much effort into making them actual people) and story structure and why I can whole heartedly say Gege is a creative genius: he’s one of the few authors that tries to truly blend realism with satisfying storytelling, and i love that.
Also, thank you guys for saying I cooked I wouldn't say that, it's just something that I thought of and put together somewhat right before I found this I won't exactly say it's all correct, too, it's just that I believe this the most likely reasons why. That said, I also think it's because people attention spans have dramatically decreased. Now Dory is showing better memory recall than theses dudes
Yeah, how JJk is playing out is still ass. I know a large part of the community has terrible takes, but I just don't like the direction as a whole. The whole "it's a basic story" isn't entirely true. Gege does throw a bunch a fights like a typical shounen sure, however, he also tries to blend too many complex characters without properly feshing them out, the "concept behind a soul" with Kenjaku and Mahito, the ancestors, ect. Not to mention the Sukuna raid which is just fu**ing stupid. I don't mind a powerful character, but Sukuna is just a god at this point. Why? Because he's Sukuna. How? Well because he's Sukuna. He's supposedly operating with the same force that powers every character(except Toji and Maki), yet somehow he can take on Gojo along with pretty much every other top sorcerer THROUGHOUT HISTORY.
Before I got into JJK I was a bit confused as to who the MC was. People were saying it was Gojo, Sukuna, or Yuta, but upon watching it was clearly Yuji
I think JJK has its fair share of issues, but I think it's a really strong series that manages to explore a lot of its themes pretty well. A lot of the problems people outline with it I think are dumb more often than not, something such as "JJK has so many unresolved plot threads" when in reality its just a list of plot elements that served a point in the story that didn't need much elaboration or something. Or something like "jjk has so many unresolved character arcs" when a majority of said arcs were already resolved in one way or another throughout the series. Jjk is a pretty nice and focused manga that manages to hit all the ideas it wants to pretty well, I think it would have benefited slowing down at some points and I feel like some characters after the resolution of their character arc could be handled a bit better (Maki mainly for me (I love everything she goes through and her growth I just don't think Gege uses her the best after she develops the best,)) and Gege might introduce a bit too many plot elements here and there that only serves limited purposes (Kyoto High Students and Hakari are the big ones for me,) but I still think the series manages to handle all its larger ambitions very well and I am happy with it as a story. Also Toji is really funny. i love that guy.
Title is wrong, cause it's not JJK fans' fault. You've gotta remember that the official translator for JJK misstranslates A LOT of stuff in the manga, to the point that he got called out by the Yuji's english voice actor. (but it's true that some ppl read JJK through tik tok and leaks lol)
In regards to Sukuna being a curse I don’t blame them. The series users curse to mean so many different things and the term curse user was only really explained in JJK 0 so when someone sees the title ‘King of curses’ natural they’d think he’s a curse spirit.
You can really tell exactly which fans to take seriously just by asking them what they thought about the chapter in Yuji's domain. Like you said, anyone who calls that talk no jutsu missed the entire fucking point of that chapter and, it can then be inferred, probably the entire series as a whole.
12:22 wow, now thats the only part i dissagree with. gojo saying that sukuna is stronger doesnt mean that sukuna is actually stronger. if you just look at the fight, u can see that not only is gojos technique better, not only is gojo better at hand to hand combat, not only did sukuna have to use several binding vows, not only did sukuna have to steal someones technique to even compete to begin with, but he also had to hide from gojo and heal up because he took to much damage. not to mention he was literally jumping gojo and still almost lost. (it REALLY sounds like im glazing but am i wrong tho?)
gojo could've beat sukuna pretty easily if he wasn't in megumi's body or if gege just yk *didn't* remove his short teleport ability throughout the entire fight (he does it at the start of the fight and catches sukuna off guard then just never does it again???)
a lot of times you can think 'why didnt x character jus do this?' and the answer will be 'because then itadori wouldn't have gotten the kill'. that's why shinjuku felt so pointless. the universe itself could collapse and it would be revealed that sukuna's domain could open in the nothingness, allowing him to continue fighting or sumthing like that. it was jus chapters and chapters of what looked like practice sketches of sloppy fights with one character after the other, then a chapter that allowed yuji to shine and show his character growth, then boom the manga is ending in a month. trying to make sense of narrative decisions is honestly a waste. the biggest agenda pusher of them all is gege, he values ending the story over the story itself. he doesn't care enough tbh.
Not to mention people saying Megumi is Potential man when the whole point is Megumi was only seen for his potential and not as a person, like Gojo was and even Gojo saw Megumi as potential and only kind of as a son. Megumi is literally a socially inept introvert who was raised as basically a government token by a man child who killed his only family besides his step sister and then his step sister was killed by his own hands and his kinda father figure was killed by his own hands. Not to mention Nobara was presumed at least almost dead if not fully dead for the whole time he was possessed. Almost everyone who fought Sukuna in his body either died or was incapacitated except Yuji. And Sukuna probably actually killed every single shadow Megumi had or most of them so his assets as some future god tier combatant are now not tethering him to living up to something he technically had no real desire to live up to. He can be himself after Sukuna dies now more then ever, his inheritance and most of his loved ones are destroyed so he has a fresh start to live for himself and his remaining friends.
never saw the community post but this is what i would say is pretty similiar to the comment you pinned to be specific: gojo fans arguing sukuna would lose without 10s when gojo said that sukuna would still win without it and y'know gojo doesnt even know that sukuna can transform so basically he says he would lose to yujikuna but worse physical since megumi's body
Ok I'll be genuinely honest, I was enjoying jjk and this arc even if it felt a little rushed because of the cut from the culling games to the final battle with no in-between. But the moment that all changed for me is not only when it was announced this series would conclude in 5 chapters, but also that Nobara would FINALLY come back just to be an asspull for Yuji to win, instead of winning against Sukuna by himself and his domain (given the circumstances at that chapter) At that point I realized how underdeveloped Nobara's comeback was as well as Megumi this past arc as well. Like i just find it so disappointing that instead of seeing our main 3 head into the final battle together to triple jump Sukuna, we instead get Megumi doing little to nothing until the very end and Nobara being COMPLETELY ABSENT from the story until one of the last chapters. These 3 should've been together to fight Sukuna (and not in the way they were here, but actually together as a group) and its just such a shame that instead we get a finale (by finale i mean not the entire fight, but the actual final fight between yuji and sukuna) that feels rushed, only bringing characters back for a "good" ending but not a well-executed one. And honestly, even disregarding Megumi, if Nobara was re-introduced midway through the culling games I wouldn't have had nearly as much of an issue with this fight as I do now. Now I just feel that the route gege took towards the end of the culling games and onward (especially the US army being deployed just for it to kinda go nowhere, wtf was that) led to the story being forced into a corner and hurrying up to resolve all the remaining threads. With all this being said, I think Kenjaku vs Takaba fight was the best fight in the Shinjuku showdown arc in my opinion. TLDR: the problem i have with jjk is not that nobara is back, but how late she came back with barely any room to spare
Same but Gege has rarely ever written moments like these, the last ones were the one with the girl Ozawa or something like that with Yuuji and the baseball game were chill episodes. I wish we got more of them before Shibuya but Gege really wanted Culling Games and Shinjuku
Before I even watch this video I’m just gonna say this title is pure facts. Specifically the people who think Yuta beats kenjaku this title applies to you.
So you mean to tell me that you got confused by the power system with hakari and his other friend and in the gojo v sukuna fight but ppl thinking sukuna is a curse when he is literally called the king of curses and the cursed spirits literally revive him in shibuya like he’s their fucking overlord makes them dumb and illiterate?? I don’t think it’s far fetched for someone to think sukuna was always a cursed spirit. He currently is and so I don’t. Think it’s crazy for ppl to think that when we have always known him in his cursed spirit form.
12:50 i had a conversation with a guy on that theme he said that toji can straight up see curses while i said that he can "feel" them and even use echolocation if he wants to
first time I watch one of your videos and I sincerely think you need to take a long look at yourself and realise that you're not as smart and/or superior as you think you are. 1. insulting people who think gojo might come back is the same as making fun of people who thought nobara might come back (not that I think it'd be good if he comes back, I agree with you on that) 2. jjk's wording in japanese is particularly complicated and convoluted compared to other mangas, its no easy task for translators. Also, the way gege phrases shit is expressly vague, to entice people and make them think about different theories, but to call people illiterate for having different interpretations isnt cool, it's toxic behavior. 3. Really ? its kirara and hakari's cts who were the hardest for you to understand ? they're actually some of the easiest. Because gege actually takes the time to explain them, whats difficult is when you have no info and you're supposed to infer what a technique does. 4. this series is veeery convoluted, and even after reading the fanbooks, the subreddits and everything else it still leaves a lot to be desired. people thought gege was going to cook, that information would be told after the big fights, character interactions would happen, but none of it did. nobara came back in the most boring way, sukuna died the most boring way, it wasnt exciting, the uraumer fight got skipped and we all felt stupid. I loved this manga and introduced it to all my friends. but gege rushed it. why ? idk. idc. he doesnt owe us anything. but sucking him off and calling this manga perfect and everyone else illiterate is just peak glazer behavior

Its HILARIOUS how jjk "fans" weep about nobara "resurrecting" MF THE MANGA YOU I GUESS "READ" SAID THAT SHES EITHER DEAD OR ALIVE EVEN MAHITO SAID THAT A SINGLE TOUCH ISN'T ENOUGH TO KILL SOMEBODY 😭
I thought I was just being unreasonably arrogant when I kept assuming that they can't read, and maybe I was the problem. Seeing this vid is a relief, and I can now confidently say that they really can't read without feeling bad, but now I'm thinking that this whole "JJK fans can't read" thing could be used to devalue the opinions of those who don't feel satisfied with some points in the story. I already see a lot of the people in the comments with their "You can't read if you hate this character. 🤓" ahh logic.
I think the only part of jjk's writing that I don't fw is how gege uses binding vows. Not even the concept of them, I think in concept they're really cool! But how gege uses them just ends up being really disappointing 90% of the time. They should, in theory, actually be a very satisfying plot device for the reader since they're supposed to work off of logic/give and take. So when gege does something interesting with them, the reader should be able to say "Wow, I see how that could work, that's really cool!" Instead, we get "character needs to do X right now. Binding Vow."
I saw a post of one guy saying "After defeating Sukuna Yuji will be useless, because he is basically especially made to defeat reincarnated sorcerers, and because Megumi will probably get shrine too, the only thing exclusive to Yuji will be black flashes."
I whole heartly agree that the story was much better without Gojo. I'm one of the ones that wanted gojo out of the equation and got called a hater for it 😂
you're right that the series was better, but the method of taking him out was just... strange to kill such an important character like that is pure insanity, any self respecting writer will tell you that
I mean later on for tension in the final battle obviously but Hidden Inventory arc with Gojo and Geto is easily some of Gege's best content. Like Gojo or not he carries a lot of the JJK brand, Gege's cash cow.
@@meklpeckle1936 So such an important character should not be killed by a self respecting writer? I mean, how Gojo died makes full sense, I don't see the problem
The problem with Shinjuku isn't that nothing happened, it's that nothing happened TO SUKUNA after the protags did hella things. In no universe should sukuna be able to eat a hollow purple from yuta, multiple jacob's ladders, god knows how many black flashes from yuji, and all the other shit they threw at him. I understand yuta's purple was weaker, I understand the last ladder was half-strength, and I understand sukuna is the strongest in history. However, every one of these big attacks were set up to be huge moments from the MCs, and yet chapter after chapter began with "sukuna tanked that shit" and continued on to set up another powerful attack that he would proceed to swallow whole. He was severely weakened after the gojo fight, there's no reason he should be able to eat allat. Also, the gojo fight involved skill and outsmarting each other with all the barrier shit and gojo's whole roundabout way of casting purple, but after he died, it stopped being a battle of wits on sukuna's end. Sukuna is supposed to be highly intelligent, and we've seen him use his brains during the gojo fight. Each chapter doesn't leave us with "ooh, I wonder what clever trick sukuna will play to get out of this!", instead we're left with "oh, here's another meaningless attack that sukuna will just ignore and move on." I know it's supposed to convey just how much more powerful than them he is, but this is just such a boring way of doing that. Plus, I'm pretty sure the point gege is trying to make is that the protags are stronger than ever, and tbh right now they feel weaker than ever.
Well the shinjuku showdown is literally a plan the characters made for the HYPOTHETICAL of Gojo losing. That is the whole arc and it’s crazy how you’re saying they’re not doing the best they can when in this moment in time the world is in danger and the king of curses is right there. Sukuna survived stuff only but you’re following into the not reading comprehension example and missing context as to why Sukuna is alive. The closest bro got cooked off the rip was the executioner sword and Yutas domain with Jacob’s latter. Sukuna is the king of curses for a reason do you want him to get wasted easily or something?
I’d say the issue is Gege didn’t do a good job of establishing Sukuna’s strength and it leads people to have wildly different assessments on his strength. One minute Angel is making his cry out in pain and then we learn he’s annihilating Angel, her clan, Yuta’s decedents and other notorious clan members all jumping him. Then Bro’s struggling to beat Miguel. There’s a lot of other examples of this.
@@1kbmahan so you must not have read my whole long ass comment cause I acknowledged the point you're trying to make, which is that sukuna is the strongest and he should be significantly more powerful than everyone else. My problem is that during the gojo fight, sukuna was pushed to the brink, and he's been portrayed as being on the brink for a while, but despite being on the brink he's somehow able to tank all of these ultra powerful attacks. I think a better way of handling this would be to show clever ways of getting out of these attacks (for example binding vows that get him out of the moment but severely impact him later in the fight, like maybe to avoid a jacob's ladder he sacrifices the ability to ever use RCT again, then later in the fight he loses one of his 4 arms and it affects his ability to fight). The battle should be increasing in tension as it draws out, and right now it just feels stagnant, as we keep reaching what seems like a climax and then sukuna tanks it and moves on. That discounts the efforts of the protagonists, and makes them seem almost laughable when their efforts fail.
I was literally waiting anxiously for a confrontation between Yuji and Sukuna. I mean, the two of them never really talked to each other, never explained their ideals or anything like that. CHAPTER 265 WAS BEAUTIFUL
I both envy and pity the fandom that gets the talented, non-reading, low comprehension, crying, meme gods of lobotomy kaisen after JJK wraps up. While there have been plenty of trends and thoughts that have outright made people misinterpret the series, the enthusiasm was always there, even when it was nothing but rampant complaining.

Correction on12:35 Maki and Toji don't sense or see curses because of the "air pressure" or "heat" change. They can actually see curses, like literally see them.
Hey it's not just you, JJK is unanimously agreed to have a extremely poorly explained Power System. Its part of the trinity of power system exposition, with the other edges being on: HunterXHunter having a Deep Power System but filling you in mountains of boring texts to explain, and Bleach having a complex and symbolically deep power system yet characters refusing to reveal good chunks of it.
Saw some nga asking how can Maki see sukuna BRO THAT MF AINT A CURSE😭🙏
Nah that’s crazy
Yes he is sukuna is a curse but he used to be human back in the heian era is what I remember I think he was brought back as a curse
Obviously he used to be human if he was in the womb
He was originally a human sorcerer during the Heian Era who was known as the King of Curses and the greatest sorcerer to ever live. After his death, Sukuna sealed his immense power into 20 fingers, which became cursed objects that could attract other cursed spirits and choose their own vessels. If a sorcerer consumes one of Sukuna's fingers, Sukuna can partially or fully resurrect, which can lead to intense battles. The plot of the anime centers around finding all of Sukuna's fingers to prevent him from reviving.

12:49 the funny thing is daido is the only fighter who cant properly see curses in the conventional sense, when cursed naoya was flying in the air, maki SAW HIM and asked kamo what that was, and when naoya slammed maki on the wall in the beginning of their fight, she LITERALLY RECOGNIZED HIS FACE DESPITE BEING A CURSE, MEANING SHE CAN SEE CURSES
Edit: maki and toji more or less use differences in temperature and air pressure as a way to help them predict someones movements, they dont need it to see curses

A man has to live by his word... will you?

@@lucianofrancesco4742 gege MIGHT give us character interactions in the final chapter since the fight is pretty much over now
Because of terrible execution, is it so hard to understand.
Barely acknowledging a character's existence for 100 chapters then dropping them in the last 5 chapters to help at the most convenient time possible with no foreshadowing or build up is simply bad writing.
@@emptyshogun you just called yourself dumb
The only thing i dont like about this manga is its how its gonna end. Im presumptious, but in my opinion continuing the story of JJK after Sukunas defeat like "how is the sorcerer society gonna deal with the revelation of their existance? Or like "how are they going to deal with the constant appearance of cursed users and spirits since Gojos
dissapearance?"
Theres so much potential to this mangas story if it was continued but what the hell
That "finale", was so bland. Yuji wasnt even emotional after the shi he went through and Megumi was kinda there as if all the shit didnt happen. Either way, the manga had a good run and story, but the potential was wasted and the ending felt botched and anticlimactic.

7:58 Counterpoint: The Agenda.
All jokes aside I do agree with a lot of the things you’re saying.
One has at least a decade of training with those abilities while the other is a 17 year old who just got them a month ago.
Just a bunch of kids that WANT art they can enjoy rather than learning to appreciate art they ACTIVELY enjoy. They saw a white haired white man and went feral.
I completely agree
The JJK “fans” are completely delusional and brainrotten, to the point their logical thinking is as consistent as The Acolyte
They’re way too obsessed with the fights yet also not; they’re way too obsessive with character strength but not the characters.

Chop chop bro, nobara is back
I think JJK has its fair share of issues, but I think it's a really strong series that manages to explore a lot of its themes pretty well.
Day 2, Editor-san already knows 13:20 my guy. Cough it up.
The Sukuna fight was a raid boss smh 😂
Title is wrong, cause it's not JJK fans' fault. You've gotta remember that the official translator for JJK misstranslates A LOT of stuff in the manga, to the point that he got called out by the Yuji's english voice actor. (but it's true that some ppl read JJK through tik tok and leaks lol)
I am so glad this is the video i found ur channel from now it got some more vids to watch
Me too. This video instantly solidified him as "Valid" to me lol
In regards to Sukuna being a curse I don’t blame them. The series users curse to mean so many different things and the term curse user was only really explained in JJK 0 so when someone sees the title ‘King of curses’ natural they’d think he’s a curse spirit.
Voice at the beginning exactly how i imagine they sound 😭
He can be himself after Sukuna dies now more then ever, his inheritance and most of his loved ones are destroyed so he has a fresh start to live for himself and his remaining friends.
never saw the community post but this is what i would say is pretty similiar to the comment you pinned to be specific:
gojo fans arguing sukuna would lose without 10s when gojo said that sukuna would still win without it and y'know gojo doesnt even know that sukuna can transform so basically he says he would lose to yujikuna but worse physical since megumi's body
Ok I'll be genuinely honest, I was enjoying jjk and this arc even if it felt a little rushed because of the cut from the culling games to the final battle with no in-between. But the moment that all changed for me is not only when it was announced this series would conclude in 5 chapters, but also that Nobara would FINALLY come back just to be an asspull for Yuji to win, instead of winning against Sukuna by himself and his domain (given the circumstances at that chapter)
At that point I realized how underdeveloped Nobara's comeback was as well as Megumi this past arc as well.
Oh wow. This was uploaded before Nobara came back. Hopefully now that shows how ass Gege has handled this story's conclusion 😭😭😭

2. jjk's wording in japanese is particularly complicated and convoluted compared to other mangas, its no easy task for translators. 3. Really ? its kirara and hakari's cts who were the hardest for you to understand ? they're actually some of the easiest.

The reading comprehension devil strikes again
