Sky Sports Carabao Cup Intro 2022/23

This is the brand new intro used by Sky Sports for their coverage of the English Football League Cup, currently known as the Carabao Cup for sponsorship reasons. The song used in this intro is 'Shine A Light' by BANNERS which was chosen because the League Cup is renowned for shining a light on the smaller clubs in the EFL and showcasing emerging talent within the Premier League clubs.

This intro shows the history of floodlights usage in football stadium from the old lightbulbs to modern bright LEDs. And as written in Wikipedia about EFL Cup
“During the late 1950s, the majority of senior English clubs equipped their grounds with floodlights. This opened up the opportunity to exploit weekday evenings throughout the winter. The League Cup was introduced in the 1960-61 season specifically as a mid-week floodlit tournament, to replace the Southern Professional Floodlit Cup.”

@@ludogatari9558 absolutely. I get it's nowhere near the size, magnitude or pure magnificence of the fa Cup but the carabao cup is still a special cup in its own way with its on unique history. I wouldn't even think about demolishing/getting rid of this cup as not only does it give lower league clubs to try get deep into a cup competition and get increased prize money, this is also an opportunity for a club to win a trophy in the season as early as February
