During the winter months it's actually filling up too fast, so I've ran a hose from the outlet, straight into the nearest downpipes drain. I just leave the tap open. We don't need much water for the plants in the winter anyway. Thanks for watching by the way.
Hi, thanks for watching and your nice comments. It's holding up great, and I've had no problems with it at all. I think the only thing I would do differently is how I connected it to my garage wall. I'm still not sure how I would do that though :)
I dropped the roof on the pub down so that it meets the wall of the garage. The garage roof has a gutter on it, so the rain drains into that. The pub part of the roof is fastened to a baton that I screwed to the garage wall beneath the gutter. I probably wouldn't do it that way again, but it definitely hasn't has any water come through. Thanks for watching :)
Hi. We put a heavy duty plastic sheet under and up the sides of the base. It seems to be working very well. I used a staple gun to secure it. If you go to around 2.59 mins, you can see it coming from underneath. Cheers for watching :)
without space between the plastic and the floor the air flow is limited and water wall be trapped there causing damp and mold and rot eventually you may want to look into seeing if they sell the adjustable plastic or metal riser pads just to create some airflow under the floor.
Hi Paul. It's about 12 x 9 foot (4x3M) with the corner cut out to allow access into the kitchen lol. Cost-wise, I didn't keep an exact total, but it was around the £2,000 area. I know it sounds a lot, but for me to buy one was around £2,300, but that was far inferior timber. It also wouldn't have been internally skinned and insulated. Also of course it has electrics in too. We love it, it's a great space to add to our little house :)
Hi Julie. It took about a month, but that was because of really bad weather, and having to wait for parts and materials to be delivered. It was hard to get hold of things at that time. I think a normal fit younger guy could probably do all of that in a week, if they really tried lol.
Don't I say what the measurements are lol? In feet and inches it's 12' x 9' with a corner taken out or around 3 x 4 metres. around 7ft 5ins high at the front going down to around 6f 5ins at the back.
Well done excellent job!
Thank you Mike, glad you enjoyed it :)
Looks amazing! Nice project! Well done!
Thank you very much. I'll be watching the final race of the F1 in there this weekend. It's added an extra room to our house.
Looks awesome and such a comfy space you have created ...well done to the Foxes xx
Cheers Steve, and thanks for the roof lift :)
Looks great! Thanks for the tips. I was wondering about drainage and never thought of using a water butt!!

Fantastic job!
Cheers bonnie lad. I look forward to a beer or two in there with you
Looks great. How is it holding up? Is there anything you would do differently?

Looks great.
Thank you :)
Wish I could pop in for a proper pint.
It's a great place to sit and chill out. Thanks for watching :)
Hi mate,
Well done, great job. A quick one for you. How did you close the gap between the two roofs?
I dropped the roof on the pub down so that it meets the wall of the garage. The garage roof has a gutter on it, so the rain drains into that. The pub part of the roof is fastened to a baton that I screwed to the garage wall beneath the gutter. I probably wouldn't do it that way again, but it definitely hasn't has any water come through. Have you put any barrier between the timber floor and the paving? Or is it just laid directly on to it?
Nice work. Want one.

Hi great build what in the size and what was the total cost

Hi did you need planning permission to attach the outhouse to your existing home
Hi Ken. If I did, I didn't get it. I'll just take it down if anyone whinges. Always best to check first though.
How long did it take ?

Hey silver fox, where's all the measurements or is that a secret recipe
